I ate here a lot growing up.   Decided tonight to make a special trip from South Winston to get some bbq.  The food is still very good, although both the bbq and the slaw were much drier than I remember.   The lady taking orders was not friendly at all.  She acted bothered when I ordered, bothered when I asked for a to go box and bothered when i asked for cherries for my cheesecake.  I don't think she smiled the entire time we were there.    The other lady who was cleaning the dining area was very friendly, however.    All in all, we left full, for a reasonable value, even if we weren't made to feel welcome.    Maybe the locals have better luck.

Great food and pretty good prices too. The tenderloin biscuits and cheeseburgers are AWESOME. Staff is usually very nice also

Very good food and friendly people. Been twice. Once had a vegetable plate, the other a hot dog and tater tots.  Both times very happy with the food and each time the staff was very nice.

I got the Chopped bbq tray. This place is a hidden gem!  Delicious, smoked, tender pork.  So full of flavor.  Smokey and sweet.  The hush puppie rings were crunchy and dough was soft and sweet.  Almost like a handful of crispy doughnuts with ur bbq pork.  And the slaw was perfect, not too sour and not too sweet, with a fresh crisp.  This big plate was only $6.50!
