I frequent this location often as they have the best service in my experience. I feel bad for the employees, because as another reviewer mentioned, some customers can be quite entitled and absolutely disgusting to those who are providing them a service.

I've never had an issue with the quality of my food. The bread is always soft and fresh, as are the condiments. The employees are attentive to make sure it's made correctly. 

One employee in particular stands out to me for her outstanding service. She has always been very patient and happy to answer all my questions and offer suggestions. Briana makes this location great.

I disagree with Robert Wood's review on Subway.  The employees are quite friendly and while standing in line one evening to get food, I saw that it was a customer with the attitude and swearing at the employees who are trying to do their jobs.  The employees remained professional and did not lose control.  They do ask once or twice what your order was to be sure they make it right...and that is understandable since they are usually busy when I go by there and they are trying to serve everyone as fast as they can, and because Rittman is dealing with the same drug issues as any other town, it is probably where Robert thinks they are "too stoned to remember".   East of Chicago does have some good subs, but they are small and expensive and even if you 'special request' the sub, they usually don't listen.  With Subway, you can watch them make your sub(s) and know that it will be correct.

During my visits, I do notice they have new faces in from time to time, but a few have been there a while and they seem to know the subs of quite a few people as soon as they walk in.  The food is fresh and if they run out of something or it doesn't look right, they will get fresh product for you and the restaurant smells great when their bread and cookies are out cooling.  They do run out of certain bread from time to time but they will recommend a good alternative and know what goes great with the subs from the cheese, veggies, and sauce while they prepare more bread.  It is also nice that when they have some specials, they let you know as well!

Before you trust the negative reviews, you should visit and see for yourself if the service is really as bad as it is said to be.  I have read bad reviews for good places and I've learned to not always trust the reviews unless you have reviewed the place yourself.
