Story

SuMMit Athletics LLC is owned/operated by Steve and Suzanne McDaniel. We are a 4400 square foot fitness facility servicing the Deer Park, La Porte, Pasadena, and Baytown areas! We are also fully automated with 24 hour access to accommodate you at any given time. Gym membership begins at $34.95 a month and includes group fitness classes, TANNING, plus all access to freeweights, cardio equipment, and Cybex machinery. Personal training is offered for a fee.

This is a small gym that has pretty much everything you'll need to get a complete workout. There's also a group fitness room. Every time I am here there is few people and never crowded. Is recommend this place to anyone just looking to lift and get a good workout in anytime of the day...

Yes, I loved the classes when I signed up for my membership. I especially loved the Zumba and Healthy Posture class. BUT DON'T SIGN UP FOR THE MEMBERSHIP! I ended up having to move out of state for work back in December of 2014 unexpectedly. When I asked to cancel my membership at the front desk, they told me I had to have proof of the new address.So as soon as I had a new address in Houston TX. (NOT ANYWHERE LOCAL), I called and had my membership canceled in January of this year because I had to have, and I quote, "a copy of one of my bills for proof of new address". I sent in a copy, and here we are in November 2015 and they are still withdrawing from my account. If you really want to sign up here, I suggest not giving them any account information and paying in cash. Or, even better, DON'T SIGN UP AT ALL! And if anyone from the Athletic Club actually reads these comments - I'm visiting family in the beginning of December, so you can expect a visit from a very pissed off woman at your front desk then.

24 hour and good equipment. Slow to fix broken things and not the cleanest gym I've been in.

I have called their facility 8 times at varying business hours and left two voice messages. They have failed to answer the phone or return my call. After a week of calling I have came to the conclusion that customer service is absent in this gym. If I do receive a call back I will edit my review.
