Great looking inn with really nice grounds. They had a beautiful setup for the wedding and festivities, including fire pits, which we got the most use out of. Loses 1 star for having 1 bathroom for a wedding of 100.

My husband and I just got back from staying at Sumner, and we had the most amazing time with Jill, the new owner.  We attended a rehearsal dinner for 75 people, and everything was beautiful and flawless.  Staying there was the most comfortable and welcoming experience we could ask for.  The rooms are spacious and decorated with amazing antique decor (and the French Room, where we stayed, had a very comfortable bed).  The grounds are large, with lots of grass and trees.  Jill is so loving and attentive, and being there was just such a relaxing feeling.  

I know the former owners had a negative reputation, especially in regards to weddings, but everything is beautiful and smooth now, so I would definitely suggest having a wedding or large party there-- and certainly stay there if you have the chance!
