To find the words to describe what a class at Sunflower Yoga is a difficult feat, but I’ll give it my best go… the energy that Meg has cultivated at her studio is unlike anything I’ve experienced at others. Classes can be anything you want it to be—if you’re looking to connect with your breath and have a relaxing practice, the audio offers restorative classes, or Meg offers the modifications in her mixed-level flow classes. If you’re looking for a lil sweat, she provides suggestions to do that as well. Whatever you’re looking for that day even if it’s different from what you were looking for at your last class every flow be made perfect for you! I love the morning classes, so I can go next door to grab a coffee, smoothie or toast and be set up to start my day having already done a workout, listened to great music, and be surrounded by great people. There’s something special in the 7pm classes when the lights are low and the music is on, that makes untying a day’s worth of knots so…luxurious? I have to say, aside from Meg herself, my favorite part about classes at Sunflower Yoga, is how diverse the classes are. In addition to never getting the same class twice, looking around and seeing so many people of different sizes, ages, and yogabilities is such a nice reminder that we are all coming in with different goals, intentions, stressors. And though we’re all doing the same flow that works for us! we all get something completely different out of it. I’ve cried, sang, laughed, sweat, pushed myself physically and mentally through flows, and have had savasanas where I have almost fallen asleep! These classes are truly for anyone and everyone with any level of experience with yoga. Sunflower Yoga is a gem in the middle of New England and I’m so grateful it’s become such a staple in my life.
I will follow Nicole Provenzano wherever she decides to teach yoga. Her classes are a great mix of allowing you to find space to relax when you need it and allowing you to push yourself when you want to. I leave her classes feeling emotionally rested and grateful. Cannot recommend her enough!
Sunflower Yoga is a hidden gem. In May, I decided to try a few of the classes during their open house weekend. I enjoyed the classes, the teachers and the supportive community of people. I have since been a student and I love the classes that are offered. The cardio dance class provides a fun, hearth-healthy way to exercise. The music is great and even though I might not know all the steps, the instructors do a great job of keeping everyone moving and feeling good! The yoga classes are always different, challenging in different ways but I always leave feeling nourished. The studio is fully stocked with all of the props I need to support my yoga practice. Lets not forget Sunflower Smoothie Cafe, nothing beats taking a yoga class on Saturday at 9 am and then walking next door to grab a smoothie, a coffee or homemade pop-tart. Meg and her teachers and staff are doing great things for the community in Southwick, Ma.
Sunflower offers classes that are great for all! There are many chances to take a class throughout the week. The music for cardio dance is super fun and yoga is challenging and relaxing. The instructors are welcoming, kind, and helpful. It's an awesome studio to dance it out!
Sunflower Yoga classes are the best!! Meg is an incredible yoga instructor that really helps you connect your mind and body in a peaceful way, with such an inviting, calming, beautiful place. I also love taking Pilates class with Lexi. Lexi is a great instructor! Such a great class, love all the exercises, increases my strength and flexibility! Cardio classes with Meg, Nicola and Renee are a great way to have fun while getting a great cardio workout!! You won't regret trying any or ALL of these classes!! Fun tip: The Sunflower Smoothie Cafe next door is adorable with delicious beverages, food and friendliest employees!!
Sunflower yoga is a warm and welcoming studio and I always leave there feeling relaxed and capable. There is heathy encouragement and guidance and the atmosphere is calming and friendly. You will love it at Sunflower Yoga! There is something for everyone.
I love Sunflower Yoga and all the offerings Nutmeg’s has created over the years. I moved from CT more then 5 years back, and not a day goes by that I do not miss the space, the classes, the people and the teachers. During the lock down I loved being able to join them online from my home in the Rockies. Even while living in CT the 35 minute drive was worth it for this slice of feel good Asana and movement. Practicing at Sunflower and Nutmegs is one of the best weekly/ daily practices you can give yourself. It teaches you to love your life, your body, and to Embrace what comes and to let go or shake off what no longer serves.
I am so happy to have found Sunflower Yoga and its community of practioners. I particularly enjoy Meg's yoga classes and her calming, supportive energy. She always sneaks in a calorie burning workout while you're getting your zen on. I also really like the pilates class for burning and toning. I highly recommend giving them a try. They also offer a cardio dance class that many of my friends enjoy.
Sunflower Yoga is a fun and friendly studio! ALL of the Yoga, Cardio & Pilates classes are the perfect balance to keep you smiling, laughing and feeling fit and fabulous! It’s a wonderful studio with amazing people.
My husband and I go to Friday morning chair yoga. I can honestly say it is the nicest group of folks around! We stretch and gain strength, flexibility and balance. We also trade jokes and stories . The room is full of positivity and sunshine. We love it.
