Sunnyside Café is a neighborhood breakfast and lunch restaurant, focused on bringing fresh and delicious food to Sarasota. We believe that no matter what your dietary lifestyle encompasses, homemade recipes should bring family and friends together to enjoy each others company and satisfy your taste buds. At Sunnyside Café we strive to support our community through local farmers, small businesses, community involvement and outreach. Super nice and attentive staff. Ate outside. Pet friendly. Cold beer. Menu is creative. Fresh squeezed OJ. I strongly recommend the chick pea pancakes. This place is spotless inside. What more could you ask for.

What a great find! The food was really well presented and everything was fresh with tons of flavor. The egg was cooked to perfection, light and consistent, and the peppers were hot and spicy. The service was pretty good, but our server seemed troubled and didn't smile. Still took care of us very well so I appreciate that we all can have a bad day sometimes.

My husband and I bring our daughter here before we return home. She is a college student at Ringling. I love the ambience and the food is awesome. I enjoy the open kitchen and the employees are very kind. Can't wait to return.

The service right from the beginning was poor, she just blurted out one of their three specials and didn't seem to want to be there today. I'm not from the area but I wanted to help my parents explore the area they live in. We waited over 40 minutes for our food. While we waited no one came over to ask if we wanted water or refills on coffee. Today is my son's birthday so breakfast is a big deal and his waffle was way underdone. My eggs were cooked runny and I specifically told the waitress to make sure my eggs were well done. I had to go inside with both my dish and my son's dish to report the issues and they didn't seem apologetic or care to rush our plates so I asked them not to redo my dish and just my son's basic waffle which took another 15 minutes and was somewhat underdone again. He was only able to eat a quarter of it before giving up. Also we then asked for waters and the water cups looked and smelled dirty. Overall bad experience and the food was average for those who were able to consume food. Yup when in doubt go to IHOP!

Great place with phenomenal food! Serving sizes are huge. Waffles came with a hefty fruit medley topping that was delicious and super fresh. Has both indoor and outdoor seating options. Sunnyside Cafe is only open for breakfast and lunch so get there early! However, they do serve dinner on Friday's.
