We went here after the Susan Komen More Than Pink walk, and the place was PACKED. Even with a packed house, the staff was extremely friendly and responsive. Didn't expect things to flow so smoothly with how busy it was, but everything went perfectly. Our food came out perfectly, with the exception of one set of hashbrowns they were not crispy as requested, but no issues as even without being crispy on the one order, they were still great Prices are also great. This was our first time here, and we will definitely go back when we get the chance.
Diner vibes, good coffee and a menu with a variety of diner classics and some of their own things. They pride themselves in sourcing Oklahoman for nearly all of their food and work with local bakeries for bread. I enjoyed that the side for many of their dishes was fresh sliced fruit! Overall my experience here was very good and would definitely recommend it. The servers are incredibly kind! Vegetarian options: They have a decent selection for vegetarians.
If you’re looking for a little Diner nostalgia here it is. Great atmosphere and food quality was awesome. They even have as list of local vendors they use which is the way it should be done. You can see in the pictures the eggs were not your typical flavorless store eggs. Our dishes came seasoned very well and we had no need to season at the table. I will preface my review on service with Sunday brunch time they were slammed! No server was idle or lazy! Several of the servers looked lost at times and stressed. We had issues with timing on drinks, utensils and things in our order being forgotten. We had ordered a specialty coffee which more than half way through meal we had to ask again for and came out luke warm. They happily remade it, thanks to the manager who did this for me. We never received the cinnamon roll which looks amazing, maybe another time! Alerted the server who we finally saw when she brought our bill and asked to remove. She had not come by and told us they were out and not to expect it. I will try the Sunnnyside Diner again later, just when it’s less busy to try that Cinnamon roll. Dietary restrictions: They have an entire page of vegetarian options. Parking: Small parking lot with street parking in the area surrounding. Kid-friendliness: Games for kids outside to keep them busy while you finish your meal.
When their slogan is, "It's always Sunday morning," you know it's going to be a good breakfast. Best menu ever. Dishes with locally sourced ingredients are noted. The fresh fruit is the good stuff. "Fresh" being the operative word with blueberries, strawberries, apples, and bananas. Super cute coffee cups, a happy sunshine yellow. Good coffee and excellent service to refill coffee. Neighborhood felt sketch. The classic eggs Benedict were exactly as expected. Parking: Large parking lot across the street.
The best Diner in the OKC area. If there's another, please let me know. You'll have to travel to We Too in Enid to find anything close to a diner, so I'm glad I found Sunnyside. Sorry, Norman, nothing close to a diner, even the Diner on Main--not that great at all.
I recommend this place! It was a nice hometown feel to it when we walked in. Our waiter i don't remember his name was awesome. He was efficient, fast, and really nice. The did was amazing. I had eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes and pancakes! The pancakes are huge so don't really need anything else but i took them home. My gf had the chiliquilles and she loved it. Will be back here!
Weekend brunch has become so popular it's hard to get in anywhere in OKC. We got lucky and stumbled onto this cute diner. While it looks like a regular diner they have a fantastic menu, and brunch drinks as well. I tried their biscuit debris and my friend had an omelet. Both were very good. Nothing fancy here but the food is very good and they have parking.
Cinnamon Roll was cold. The butter wouldn't melt and pan was cool to touch. The bacon avacado omelet was missing both the sauce and the avacado...not what I ordered. It was around 630 on a Monday. I visited a time before and everything was spot on. The server was nice, and the atmosphere is good.Food: 1/5
Great breakfast. I had the Western Ave omelette and some brioche toast. It looked and tasted amazing and I would definitely return when I’m back in town. Service was very fast and friendly.Food: 5/5
While in town we decided to come here for breakfast. It was quite a wait, but after being seated we were able to order and get our food pretty quickly. Everything we ordered was great and the service was good.Food: 5/5
