The park is quaint n nice if you can handle a steep hill to walk down n up again. Lots of photo opportunities. However, the people who live in the property that tend to the park , are rude inconsiderate n mean, especially to my 3 yr old, to also be aware their little dog that is supposed to always be on a leash, is not kept on his leash and loves to intimidate visitors with a nagging bark that never stops.. on the plus there's lots of deer to see.

Though I have yet to see this beach at sunrise, I can personally attest to the gorgeous views it offers at sunset. The road down to the parking lot is a scenic journey all to itself. Once you emerge from the canopy of maples and pines, you find a small but well paved parking lot. Up on the hill you'll find a plaque detailing the history of the park, which was donated by early settlers whose descendants still live in a nearby house. On the walk down to the beach, we witnessed a baby deer nursing- a first for me! The scenic, rocky beach offers views of the Port of Tacoma and Mt. Rainier. For the adventurous, there's an old handmade swing that, despite it's rickety appearance, supports adult-sized humans ; )

Great location to dive. The trek with your gear on is a bit much though. Still an awesome dive site and great park facilities.

Hidden, quiet jem. Small hike up or gentle slope down. Awesome view!
