I handle cases here once or twice a year, in the past I did as many as 5 or 10. I'm a criminal defense attorney, so my experience is from that perpsective. The first thing is parking. It's limited, so consider parking behind the office complex across the street. Parking in the neighborhood behind the court house is another option. This court house is perpetually overburdened, so expect lengthy waits as a matter of course. It's a good place to hire a lawyer because the level of delay can bother amateurs.

You have reached the the San Diego Superior Court, our phone lines are now closed....at 11:41am on a Tuesday...... Called again. Stayed on hold for 8 minutes and then automated line said we are unable to answer your call. We believe this is temporary....and hung up. Called back (11:32) phone lines are now closed. Must be lunch time. Clock out. Beep, boop, beep.

Potentially some of the most useless works I have ever come across. Submitted documents with a cover-sheet (after having it rejected once before) with every issue rectified. I had the documents rejected once again due to not including two self addresses envelopes. The cover-sheet had my cell phone on it, and I could have dropped off two envelopes. But instead they mailed the documents back to me with a rejection notice. I imagine a senior pensioned worker wasted more time rejecting and mailing my documents back to me then it would have costed to produce two envelopes. That clerk was B. STIDMAN and they additionally waited two weeks to even process and reject my documents. Thank you for proving the point that there should be no additional funding for useless public workers.

I have been trying to pay a traffic ticket online, and through the automated system with absolutely no success. I can not simply show up to pay for a ticket, because I am serving in the military out of the state. When trying to get a hold of a clerk, which is absolutely a terrible and confusing process, during their hours listed on their website (them being in Pacific time, even though I'm on Eastern Time) it automatically tells me every single time that their office is closed. This is apparently a recurring issue for multiple people that are simply trying to be law abiding citizens. It needs to be addressed and corrected, or another solution needs to be found. If I could, I'd give them 0 out of 5.

Clerks are rude if you want to ask a question your ask to wait in a 1 hr line just to be told to go to another line
