This place has the best tacos in ATL. However the market is a bit intimidating. Not a shiny chain restaurant. It's a grocery store! Try tacos Al Pastor and the Menudo soup.

Food counter in the back serves the best tacos on Buford Hwy. On weekends they offer an expanded menu. Selection of Jarritos Mexican sodas, and a great salsa bar. Do get some chiccharonnes to try (Mexican pork rinds).

I was reading the Atlanta magazine and I saw that Chicago supermarket had won an award for having the best tacos in Atlanta, now im a taco loving individual so I had to give them a try. I stopped by on a Saturday and I was surprised how long the line was for the Taqueria, I waited in line for about 5 min until my order was taken. I ordered 4 stake tacos along with a refreshing cup of agua de pina (that’s natural pineapple juice). It wasn’t long until my tacos were brought to my seat I added lettuce, a little salt and a light green sauce to them and they were the best mouth watering tacos IV ever had. The rest of the store is really clean and they have everything you need. In regards to the meat department they cut everything by hand, so that’s a plus. They also have a really good masa for sale to make some really good homemade tortillas. I will def go back and next time im going to try the tamales.

Drove all the way here expecting it to be.. Well.. A chicago supermarket... Vienna hotdogs etc... Not a nasty slimy floored musty spanish market with brown meat and rotting vegetables. Enough said.

There was a musty smell and the food did not look edible. We went to the Kroger up the street instead.
