A contemporary seafood restaurant with a pretty good atmosphere. Expect to spend a good bit of money as it isn't cheap. Dinner for two can easily hit $100. Be aware that on a weekend it can be cramped and a bit noisy with wait times in excess of 45 mins. Another caution is to examine the clams when they come out of the kitchen. Any clam that hasn't fully opened during the prep and cook process will most likely have a stone or two. I don't blame the kitchen as it is part of working with this kind of seafood. Just be cautious. Also try to avoid any table near the restroom as your enjoyable meal will quickly turn into a series of people looming over you.

Food is always awesome here and nicely presented. If you are looking for good seafood restaurant in the this is your place. It is a fine dining restaurant. Dinner for two with drinks will cost close to $100 or more. Stuffs are very nice and friendly. Good drink options. This owner few good restaurants in New England area and they know what to serve. Love this place.

Surf is the seafood arm of the Michael Buckley empire (MT's, Buckley's steak, bakery...) and delivers an experience of similar expectations. There is very little turf on the menu, cross the street if that's your expectation. Menu items are freshly prepared with a modern interpretation of seafood dishes, both fish and shellfish. There is a full sushi bar for raw options, plus a variety of rolls taking on that same modern feel (try the buttered lobster Maki roll). Personally, while I find that you'll never have a bad experience at Surf (the food is consistent), the flavors are too main stream. In other words, it's a good dish, prepared and presented nicely, but I no longer walk away impressed. That said, my wife loves Surf and thinks it's the ONLY place for seafood (she's reading over my shoulder and thinks it's exceptional). If you've never been and like seafood, it deserves a visit and find out for yourself.

The food was good, the waitress was good too. However there was a man (manager maybe) going to every table asking how was everything and he did not stop by my table... Happy valentines day!

I have only been here a couple times but trust me you won't be disappointed. It does get busy so if you don't mind the wait especially if there is a game on! Food was on point and the staff was great as well..definitely will go back!
