Susan D. Brown and Associates is a law firm specializing in family law, with an emphasis on Family. Our attorneys each practice family law with the belief that family is of the utmost importance, and knowing that our own life experiences contribute to our ability to understand our clients' needs.

Our attorneys specialize in child custody, support, divorce, legitimation, modification, and other domestic matters, as well as representing both children and parents in juvenile court matters related to custody. By specializing in this manner, we are able to offer targeted, quality representation by attorneys with the experience, training and resources necessary to assist clients in these areas.

Adoption is a favorite area of specialty. Whether you are considering private placement, agency, over-seas or step-parent adoption, we can guide you through the process.

Our attorneys realize that parties are in the best position to know what is right for their family and we know litigation can be expensive, time consuming and emotionally challenging. Each of us strives to make the process affordable, while offering you quality advice and service.

In recent years, alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation and arbitration, has become a requirement in local courts. Mediation and arbitration offer the client more control over the outcome of the case and are generally less expensive than going to court. We have both registered mediators and arbitrators on staff.
