Food was good. Not bad quality and the food came out pretty quick. Just a warning though, they limit how much tuna 1 order and salmon 5 orders you can order for the all you can eat menu, which is already more expensive than other's in the city. I get it. They're the most used fish for rolls too, but we were taken by surprised as that hasn't been the case for other AYCE places we've been to. Additionally, I ordered agedashi tofu, which was listed on the menu to come with Bonito flakes and grated Daikin radish. They even had a photo of the topping. What I received, however, was just the fried tofu. When I asked about the toppings, I was told that it doesn't come with either. When I said the menu didn't reflect that the server said she had never seen it come with anything before and confirmed the same with another server. When I asked if I could just get them on the side, they admitted that they didn't know what either were but could get me green onion if I really wanted. Overall, we finished our food but left not overly impressed.
We had a couple favorite sushi places in the town we used to live in and we're struggling to find a good place in Tucson until now. The sushi was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was fine--nothing to write home about but no major issues either. We will be back.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: No
Great service and delicious selections of your typical sushi cuisine. Vegas and California rolls are always going to be safe choices with Miso and Edamame as good starters. Enjoy Sake bombs and your bar selections while you dine at Sushi Cortaro on River.
The sushi was really good. I believe between the 3 of us we tried approx 10 different rolls and they were all good and very fresh- from the rice down to the fish!! A little pricey at $32 now but if you can eat a bit then it's worth it!
BOMB! The sashimi was fresh and delicious. We ordered 3 rolls and they were absolutely devine. Bathrooms were clean and everything was fresh. We became very confused about who our waitress/waiter was. We had 5 different people constantly stopping by.Food: 5/5
The food was pretty good. Fountain drinks tasted weird. Someone in our party did the all you can eat option. My only complaint with the staff management is that he was hovering over our table multiple times to make sure they didn't leave a single roll behind. I believe it was the owner who had to correct our check multiple times because he tried charging us for leaving behind rolls when they weren't even done eating. It was very annoying, displeasing and highly unnecessary. First and last time eating at this location. Overall, food was good though.
The sushi was ok for Tucson sushi a bit over priced for the quality but it was edible non the lessFood: 3/5
I’m in love with this place. The service was excellent. The sushi was rolled and it was definitely rolled tightly meaning that it didn’t fall apart as soon as it was picked up and they have all you can eat sushi up until 7 PM for only $33.Recommended dishesVariety of Sushi
I tried this restaurant when I came to Tucson. We tried all you can eat. The sushi was average. The appetizers were better than the sushi. I tried many restaurants for sushi but this one was average. And the prices are expensive for the food quality. I’ll try different restaurant for Sushi in Tucson. The sushi was better than the rolls.
The food is good, however when you order sushi for takeout they put the sauces in cups and expect you to know what roll is which without labels on the boxes and what sauce goes on each roll. I'd prefer if they just put the sauce on the roll and label the box on which roll is inside. This is my only complaint about this place.
