This is really a good sushi place. I mean, authentic and great sushi place -- as good as the best one in Japan. All of dishes are in the best condition, served with finest technique. Sushi are in traditional style, yet some are modern. I had black cod with miso, which is traditional, but that was served with citrus flavor -- surprisingly good. If you miss the best and sushi places in Tokyo, this is the place for you. You won't miss them anymore.

Very expensive but very good. Very thoughtful chef and humble. Very hospitable Japanese service. One of the best Sushi joints in the bay area. Fish is aged slightly to develop more flavor (different than just offering fresh off the boat freshness)

What an wonderful dinner! I'm not a huge sushi fan, but my wife is, and she couldn't stop raving about this place, either before or after. So Sushi Yoshizumi definitely gets her rare stamp of approval. Every dish was carefully prepared, and so incredibly fresh. This evening's dinner was to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and the chef and his wife even presented us with roses at the end of our meal. What an amazingly thoughtful and generous gesture. We loved our meal, and will definitely be back. Thank you Chef Yoshizumi! Here was our menu: 1) Steamed oyster 2) Bonito 3) Egg custard with snapper and seaweed sauce 4) Black cod with finger lime and grated daikon. Soooo good. The finger lime pods pop in your mouth like vegetarian tobiko 5) Monk fish liver and octopus 6) Japanese seaweed salad 7) Japanese snapper 8) Aji horse mackerel 9) Amberjack 10) Bluefin tuna 11) Toro 12) Wild King Salmon 13) Japanese sardine 14) Massaged scallop with yuzu. Deeelicuous! 15) Uni and fish roe 16) Seared GoldenEye snapper. Subtle smoky flavor 17) Toro hand roll 18) Anago sea eel 19) Miso soup 20) Tamago egg cake

It's the best authentic sushi place I have ever visited, not only in bay area or US. The food is super delicious without any doubt, and has a unique taste comparing to the other sushi places due to the way they prepare the fish. I also love how the chef make and introduce his food with tremendous passion.

Incredible, worth the 2 month wait. Very special place. Every morsel is delicious and artfully crafted.
