So I have already rated this place on yelp, but I am here because it seems that the owner actually monitors these reviews --- I have been to SwankyB SEVERAL times on SEVERAL occasions. I try to give every business a chance. We all have our days! I have quite a few cute pieces from here, and I was actually one of their first customers when they opened a few years ago. I can honestly say that EVERY time I go in, I have a different customer service experience. The issue is with the owner. Any time I have gone in and dealt with the other employees, they have been cordial. Unfortunately, she can't keep employees, so it's usually the owner manning the register. The only time I had decent customer service is when she didn't speak to me at all (on my last visit). Dear owner, customer service is obviously not your thing. In a town as small as Starkville, your name will be ruined in no time. No one can deny that your merchandise is decent. Please: HIRE STAFF TO MAN THE REGISTER. I literally don't even feel comfortable trying on clothes in the store. Your energy is WAY off.

I have been to this store one time and was quite disappointed. It was around the time Sherpa Vests just came out and were the big thing. After seeing their Facebook post of having them in stock, I went in for my first time. I wasn’t greeted by anyone, and went to the vests. I saw they only had extra smalls and mediums, which wasn’t what their post from not even an hour earlier said. I was disappointed and left. However, on my way out, the owner suddenly popped out of nowhere yelling- insisting to see the inside of my friends purse. She thought we had stuffed a large fluffy vest into a small purse. I asked if she would call an officer to come down before we showed her the inside of our purse. She only got even more upset. She yelled and told us to leave her store instantly. I find it very hard to believe this lady had sold so many vests within an hour, and to be quite honest I’m shocked she is still in business. After posting our review to Facebook, she suddenly disabled reviews for her business. Clearly she is well aware there is an issue!!! I have kept from posting on Google reviews until another friend had a very bad experience earlier. Honestly this is such unprofessional behavior, and I am shocked this woman still has business.

My experience here was unbelievable, almost like a scene from a movie. The “owner” of the store literally kicked me out for my choice of words. I am a strong believer of “your business your decisions” but she went entirely the wrong direction with the way she handled the situation. She did respectfully tell me not to use profanity, which I respected. After a quick rebuttal she was standing in front of me ripping the clothes out of my hand and escorting me to the door. I am still shocked at her demeanor. HORRIBLE shopping experience.

It was ok. Nice, but not really engaging staff. They didn't help with selections or offer any suggestions. There were some fashionable selections. Higher prices. Good size range. One mislabeled item to be returned because although labeled size "large", it was actually size "small". Store has a 3 day return policy.

The worst customer service in Starkville. The owner is very rude and she is always the one working. Spend your money somewhere else.
