Three of us women enjoyed good wine and food before attending The Penumbra theater last evening.  This morning I realized that my wallet was missing.  Coincidentally my husband and I were dropping off a car for body repair this morning that is fairly near Sweeney's.  I could only hope that my wallet was there.  My knock on the door was answered immediately and, to my joy and relief, my wallet had been put aside!  I am eternally grateful to the employee who found it and put it aside.  I couldn't imagine the time and despair required to acquire all those cards plus a driver's license.  Thank you!  Go to Sweeney's!

I've been going to this place for years, and it never disappoints. The wings are some of the best around, the beer selection is fantastic and the service is always great. The back patio in the summer has a great atmosphere too. I highly recommend Sweeney's!

Best patio in Saint Paul! Great destination for summer drinking in the sun. The beer selection is ok, and the food is above average for a bar. The happy hour deals are really good. I suggest the buffalo wings. Pretty good deal for $5. The only down side is that service gets really slow when it gets busy. I've gone more than 20 min without getting a greeting from the server. I suggest avoiding this place when it is busy.

I am vegetarian mostly for health reasons and I don't like heavy, greasy food. There was really nothing I could eat here. Beer was fine, even good.

Great food (fun, diverse appetizers and some vegetarian/pescatarian options). Mediocre service (not necessarily friendly or attentive waitstaff on three-five different visits.  Awesome environment, especially the outdoor patio during warmer seasons.
