Went during first year opening and it was great. Most recent visit 9/17/17 over priced for disorganized and poor service with small portions. It was sad to see it function so poorly. We would have been better off celebrating occasion at another restaurant. Too many good restaurants to pay top prices for poor service. Not sure how long they will be in business if other people have similar experiences as we did. If you give it a chance make sure small group and non important celebration, at best it's unpredictable.

We ate here last night and the food was outstanding! The staff was very friendly. They had a live band performance so the atmosphere was chill! For our meals we had Bang Bang Shrimp, Lobster and Shrimp Pot Pie, Lamb Chops with a side of Kale and Mac n Cheese. The bartender served me a surprise Margarita (got me 2 of em thangs) ... and they support the military... Thank you!

Went for the first time recently and took my friend there to celebrate her birthday. Sweet Auburn Seafood far exceeded my expectations. It was excellent start to finish... my raspberry margarita was made with fresh ingredients...appetizers were good and my entree (shrimp and grits) was delectable. I also had dessert (peach cobbler a la mode) which was divine. I will definitely be back!

I took my wife for brunch, while my shrimp and grits tasted great there was a huge discrepancy between quantity and price. I asked my waiter about the size of the dish before ordering. He obviously lied about it, but kept asking if I wanted a side of kid's waffles.The bowl initially looked large, but was extremely shallow. I had more sausage on the plate than shrimp. It cost $20. My wife ordered chicken and waffles. The chicken had more bone than meat. I will never go back. I should not leave an establishment hungry, but did today. I support my own when possible, but I should've went with my first instinct and enjoyed another brunch at Murphy's in Virginia Highlands. Better bang for the buck.

I had read many reviews recommending this place. They were spot on. Sweet Auburn Seafood doesn't look like much from the outside, inside is a completely different story. We were greeted by a friendly hostess, live music and comfortable seating. My only complaint was the drink situation. The bar is pretty small and was full when a friend and i showed up. Really wanted to try the food so we opted for a table. We were seated quickly. Wanted a drink before ordering but ended up ordering an appetizer because the first round took like 20 min. We were there close to two hours and only able to get 3 drinks before leaving. They were also $14 a piece. Slow and expensive. One or the other i can deal with. Both are a terrible combination. On a different note, the food was fantastic. Had the seafood nachos as an appetizer and the lobster pot pie as an entree. The friend I was with really enjoyed the fried shrimp. Because the food was so good and the staff was friendly, I will be giving this place another try.
