I cannot sty enough about this place. When I walked in I was immediately greeted by the owner. She looks familiar but I was not sure if it was the same place that had moved from a little further down and then to my surprise I realize it was when she told me. So those of you who are looking for Sweet Basil they just moved up the block a little bit please stop in and get your regular or try something different. The food is absolutely delicious. I had my regular drunken noodle and my girlfriend had Mongolian chicken. I was so upset that I did not order a second order for the next day because my taste buds were crying out can we have some more LOL. The food was perfectly seasoning as usual not too hot not too spicy not to anything. It was absolutely delicious. It was served piping hot from the kitchen. The atmosphere is very quaint and comfy. It's not a very large space I wish it was because I was thinking about having a party there for my retirement perhaps I can speak with the manager and we can work out something. Nonetheless if you want the taste of THAI served with friendly smile, great customer service, and lots of friendly staff members this is definitely the place. I will return again and again and again and again. I'm so glad I found you guys.  Vegetarian options: I believe they can satisfy the taste buds of any vegetarian

Visiting from Australia & found this restaurant, we came for lunch, ordered lunch special & they were super delicious. The next day we came back again for dinner, we ate Basil Beef & traditional Prawn fried rice, which were also super delicious. The price is pretty good & friendly customer service. Highly recommended.

The moment I stepped inside, the cozy ambiance and warm hospitality immediately made me feel at home.  As a fan of Thai cuisine, I was eager to try their signature dishes. Without a doubt, the Mango Chicken stole the show! The succulent pieces of tender chicken, perfectly paired with ripe and juicy mangoes, created a sensational burst of flavors in every bite. The blend of sweet and savory, enhanced by a luscious coconut milk-based sauce, was simply divine. It was a symphony of tastes that danced on my palate, and I couldn't get enough of it.  Equally impressive was their Green Curry, a classic Thai favorite. The aromatic blend of herbs and spices in the velvety green curry sauce was spot-on. The tender chunks of meat and crisp vegetables soaked up the rich flavors, creating a comforting and satisfying dish. Paired with fragrant jasmine rice, it was a culinary experience that transported me to the heart of Thailand.  The service at Sweet Basil was impeccable. The staff was attentive and eager to offer recommendations based on my preferences, ensuring that every dish was tailored to my taste. They also catered to dietary preferences, making it a welcoming place for everyone.  All in all, Sweet Basil surpassed my expectations, and it has become my go-to Thai food restaurant. Excellent food!  Excellent service!  Everything was amazing and the staff were friendly and efficient.  I highly recommend this place.  I loved the calamari and mango chicken.  The mango chicken comes is delicious and comes with actual mango slices.  The green curry with shrimp was also very good.  The tempura ice cream with vanilla and green tea ice cream was also amazing.  We’ll be back again soon!

I remember the quality and taste of Sweet Basil's food as being good.  It had been some time since my last visit, and I was looking forward to dining.  Unfortunately, this is not the experience I encountered during last weeks visit.  Upon entering the restaurant, a wait person yelled from the opposite end of the store, if I was there to stay, or for take out! Completely, shocked.  I replied softly and not within her earshot to emphasize how loud she was speaking to please give me a moment to approach her.  Noting that we are not in a barn.  Another worker scolded her and communicated something and took over.  But not before smiling, posing the same question, and in a lowered tone.  I ordered takeout. The food was rather bland, and the whole experience, much to my regret, was a wash.

The best Thai food in Brooklyn I’m sooo glad that they are back on Franklin ave. 10 stars great service try the wings they are to die for. Great food will come back everyday !!!!!!

They just reopened and are consistent with the same fresh food and great hospitality as always! So glad to have Sweet Basil back Food: 5/5

So glad Sweet Basil is back! The food is as good as it was before they closed if not better and it's so nice to see familiar faces at the counter. Words cannot convey how desperate we needed crab rangoons to make a triumphant return. I've done pick up/take away and delivery, mostly because I eat takeout when I'm desperate which is often. The vibe inside the new location is as warm and welcoming as it was at the old location.

Came here for my birthday dinner. Food was amazing. Service was kind and very fast! My parent is vegetarian and they had options for them.Food: 5/5

Food is amazing. Service is always top notch. I had my mom's birthday dinner, my niece's sweet sixteen birthday dinner and my friend twenty eight birthday dinner at Sweet Basil. With there help we transformed the restaurant. It was just amazing.
