Swifty's Atomic Bar and Grill is a family owned bar and grill that pays homage to the late Ronnie "Swifty" Swift, who thoroughly enjoyed his career in the nuclear industry. Swifty's revolves around a "Secret City" and playful nuclear theme. We are a full service bar and grill with live entertainment and the ability to cater to private venues with our large banquet rooms.
Meet the owners!
Nellie "Rusty" Swift: The matriarch of the family, fun and full of energy, she will soon be a recognizable staple in the restaurant!
The Twins: Matthew and Marcus Swift are the Swifty twins. Each has a degree in Criminal Justice from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale (we are Northerners initially, please don't hold it against us!). Matthew's role will be general manager while Marcus will oversee security and back-of-the-house operations.
Roni Swift: The sister of the family, and "Mouth of the South", Roni has a degree in Microbiology and previously supervised cancer and biocompatibility research at the University of Tennessee. She’s currently a stay at home mom caring for her daughter and special needs son. Roni's role at the grill is website and social media maintenance, as well as helping to shape the menu (especially the vegetarian fare).
