Jen, Rina, Jason, and Moshe opened a shoe and accessory store in the spring of 2006. We believe that “In life there inevitably comes a time when you must SWiTCH.” We all found that time came when we met through our kids’ local elementary school. Though our friendship was relatively new, our bond and commitment to each other grew quickly. This connection helped to initiate our “SWiTCH.” Jen was ready to utilize her extensive retail experience in a more personal venture. Rina wanted an outlet for her design and merchandising skills. She was also tired of explaining to complete strangers, who stopped her on the street that her shoes were not available in the US. Jason and Moshe, husbands and co-owners, were happy to offer their support and expertise in this venture. We all came together with a vision to own our own company and so, Switch Shoes was born.
In 2010 Switch Shoes became Switch Shoes and Clothing. Seeing another opportunity to “SWiTCH “ we expanded into the building next door, doubling our space and adding clothing to our business. This “SWiTCH” opened the door for us to support even more small independent designers from Portland to Israel and beyond. Our customers have more to choose from and we can offer them a head to toe one stop shop for all their fashion needs. We have grown into a favorite shopping destination for Portland and surrounding area.
