Taco Lobo
"Made-from-scratch sauces, tamales and tortillas watch them being rolled out in the kitchen, surrounded by lively art and big picture window views that look out into the heart of downtown makes the Taco Lobo a great place for a quick lunch or dinner. The spicy chicken in the pollo asado is a winner with diners, as is the tasty salsa bar, full of homemade salsa combinations. The food is always fresh, the atmosphere always fun. Come down and enjoy an authentic taste of Mexico!"

Stopped by and grabbed a burrito asada with rice and beans to go. Order took around 8 minutes or so, total came out to 18 dollars. There was a one dollar to-go fee. Nice space, had bathrooms, a salsa bar, and plenty of seating. Good atmosphere and customer service, the employees seemed like friendly people. The burrito was serviceable, but I don't think it was worth the money. A Que Tacos has a supreme burrito for $8 that's probably a third larger. However Taco Lobo is downtown, has plenty of seating, and shows sports for those who are into watch tv while they eat. All in all, nice spot, but I doubt I'll go back.
Easy going, decent food. Good size portions. I did see the tortillas being hand made, that's a plus. Plenty of seating and tables. Salas bar had only 3 options. Atmosphere was clean and inviting.Food: 4/5
It's my first time eating here. I had the chicken mold lunch special. It was almost inedible. The chicken itself was moist but flavorless. The molè was really off. I suspect that the base was ketchup mixed with unsweetened cocoa and cayenne pepper. Just weird. There was as much service as one would get at a McDonald's except they carried my food to my table and then I never saw them again. I tipped 20% for it since it's the kind of establishment that you order and pay at the same time.
Super nice place !!! We are really glad we could find this place !! The Staff are very kind! It won the best Mexican cuisine in 2006 ! Indeed the food and services are great and really affordable price If your dog is a small lap dog you can eat inside !! The place also had nice friendly atmosphere!!
The rice was delicious and well flavored, the tostadas were huge and very delicious too! Highly recommend if you’re ever in the area!
Got two burritos to go and maybe it's a preference thing but they definitely didn't hit the spot for me or my friend. Figured a place that's been open for so long downtown would be pretty good but ‍.Food: 3/5
Very good regional Mexican food, with a light, clean taste. Unfortunately, their vegan options have all-but disappeared. Still, a salad with avocado instead of chicken and a bowl of veggie beans or a veggie burrito is available. May not appeal to those used to Americanized dishes topped with tons of cheese. The salsa bar can't be beat.
Finally visited this restaurant! Our other locale changed their special so we stopped in here. A very swanky joint, with a huge menu. Order at the counter, take your number and find a seat. An awesome salsa bar to hit up while you wait, which won't be long ; portions are nice and prices are decent.
I keep hearing about the Birria at a couple of other Mexican restaurants in town, so I have to spread the word about the Birria Taco Lobo since no one is talking about it! I tried it at those restaurants. It was good, but unfortunately for them I had Taco Lobo to compare it to. The Birria at Taco Lobo absolutely blows them out of the water. If you want a good Birria, you have to give them a try.
My margarita was up to Snuff, but to not include complimentary chips and salsa is absurd. Totally against traditional cantina etiquette. Even asking for them after the fact, I recieved nothing. At the conclusion of my visit was I offered what should have been before my drink! Taco Lowball.
