Totally awesome fast food Mexican taco place. We were thinking of Taco Bell, went here by accident. The food was 10x better than TB, yet half the price! The cheese quesadilla was only good.
Anyone who's ever eaten at a taco tree knows that they're food is an Auburn delicacy. albeit a fast food delicacy. As I have found fast food delicacies rare. It's not just one menu item, but a slew of them. They're super nachos, super burritos hands down are far more filling and tastier than anything you can get from a Taco Bell. Besides, we're talking a Tree versus a Bell.
Love this place! Not authentic Mexican food but reasonable prices and food is good. Love their super nachos and beef taco plus. Meat always tastes fresh. They are busy but service is quick. Not much has changed. I now love their beef taco salad and their cinnamon crips are also a nice treat. We got our small super nachos with chips on the side, their cinnamon crisps and their beef taco salad. They are still busy and delish.
This is hands down my favorite taco place in Auburn, and my wife feels the same way. Crispy shell, great chicken flavor, never disappoints. Sure, the drive-thru is always crowded, but don't let that put you off. Parking is not bad but frequently spills out into the street. Don't let that put you off either. It's worth it.
Where's the beef? I've been eating @ Taco Tree since 1988. I went a couple of months ago and ordered a taco salad. For the first time ever, there was hardly had any beef on it. I went again today, this time ordering the super nachos w/chips on the side. I was shocked when I opened the container and saw only a tiny bit of ground beef. I thought for sure there would be more but sadly, it only contained about 1 tablespoon of ground beef!!!
Don’t waste your money!!! So gross! Better off going to disgusting Taco Bell but I wouldn’t eat that dog food either nothing super about the meek sized “super burrito”... if you never made a burrito before, it would be better than this. Nachos are gross too!
Well, my significant other took me here last night. Admittedly, upon arrival, my first impression was....WT? Not much to look at and made me question her decision. After biting into my first "Super Beef Taco", all was well with the world. Yummy!
Although they're understaffed, they still manage to quickly crank out killer food in the drive thru. Definitely get the super nachos. All for them swamp style if you want to keep your chips crunchy. So good! Vegetarian options: They have a veggie burrito and other options. Parking: Parking is pretty limited and the drive thru complicates things, but it's worth it.
The food was great. I haven't been to The Taco Tree since the '90s. Only thing is that the inside of the building was not open to customers. We, I stead, ate at a picnic bench while watching jealous birds and squirrels waiting for us to drop a piece of corn taco shell or cheese.
Bean and cheese burrito big, hot and delicious. Ordering was quick with helpful employees, air conditioning and generous seating inside. Would recommend.
