Story

TAJ • ART exhibit's work by renown and emerging artists enhancing their presence and recognition in the art world. It also raises awareness and educates the public about animal welfare issues, hoping to eventually generate more conscious daily decisions that can help support the planet and its inhabitants.

Visitors will experience both a high-end art studio gallery, as well as a focus on real-world pressing issues. The experience is meant to bring something meaningful to the dialogue of art.

Expanding the audience for art and animal lovers alike, TAJ • ART endeavors to become a destination and an educational center where collectors and non-collectors can experience art, meditate, take classes, hear artist lectures and enjoy music.

T R A C E J O H A N S S O N

Trace Johansson is the creator of TAJ ART. She has been a working artist for the past 15 years. As a graduate from Art Center with an emphasis in painting and drawing, Johansson understands the unique mind-set of artists and understands artistic aesthetics that makes art coveted and collected.

Her abstract paintings, drawings, music and poetry of humans and animals alike, are moody and inspiring, depicting human-animal bonds and their relationship to the environment. She is interested in addressing love, dignity, compassion, altruistic social responsibility, and the spiritual awareness of it all, believing animals are sentient, conscious creatures that live in a state of awareness of being.

Trace’s work is exhibited and collected internationally. Her paintings are found in galleries and private collections of celebrities to non-profit organizations. She is also trained in interpretative nature education and teaches to adults and children. Trace is a devotee to meditation and a certified Yoga teacher and Ananda Spiritual Meditation teacher, believing in that the roots of yoga and meditation are spiritual for the seeker to attaining high levels of consciousness bringing joy to the heart and mind.
