Welcome to Takashi Dental official Facebook page. We are a small cozy dental office located in downtown San Mateo.
Dr.Takashi has been practiced for over 20 years in Japan and started his own practice in CA, USA in 2007.
We are accepting new patients and much appreciate for referral. We participate in a major Dental PPO insurance.

I couldn't satisfy any dentists in the east bay. After seeing Dr. Shigihara 5 years ago, I don't mind crossing the bay to have my dental work done including teeth cleaning by Hisako. They are super kind professionals. I have recommended them to my friends, and every single one loves them. Only problem is you have to make appointment far in advance. Well, this means they are very popular!!  

5/9/2018 Update: No longer visiting twice for my crown. They installed 3D machine creates my crown on the spot!

Got an implant finished recently. Then had a coupe of older crowns replaced by Dr Takashi and crew. My wife was referred by friends, and now he's my dentists. I'm referring my fiends to this practice too. I can take CalTrain to his office or park for free on the garage roof. His dental procedures are careful and meticulous. Love the staff too.

I HATE DENTISTS!!!! Until I met Dr. Shigihara. I am now going to get all the work done I have been avoiding all these years. It has everything to do with trust and caring. For the first time since I was kid, I didn't feel like I walked in to a Dental Mill who wanted to sell me on as many treatments as they could. What a relief!

This may be normal, but. Two crowns I got from this dentist (maybe couple weeks apart) fell off the moment I bit into a honeycomb (like two weeks later). One of the replacement ones fell out just now (maybe two years later), because I started flossing, finally. Back then he said "it's because you grind your teeth". Well, if that warrants special crowns, then you know I am a grinder the moment I open my mouth (like my next dentist did, and promptly informed me), so why didn't you use "grinder" crowns right away, and only after the original ones stayed in the honeycomb? :D
