Takuma Japanese Restaurant
"We are an award winning family run sushi and ramen restaurant offering traditional Japanese food. Our aim is to use the most fresh and the best quality ingredients to make our dishes. The chef is always experimenting and inventing new dishes to add to our existing menu. We are praised for our dragon rolls. Its beautiful interior: the light and airy, with lots of wooden furnitures, and calming wall decorations and lightings, and an open sushi counter have entirely built and decorated by the owner with tremdous care and love to offer a cosy, cool and laid back environment and experience at our restaurant."

Great food, great service! I came here with my wife for a date night. We were in a private booth which was nice and added a little more romance. We got the sushi love boat c, so much food, ended up with a bunch of leftovers. Great local spot, we’ll definitely be back.
We came to a Niagara falls as a family on the weekend and were looking for a reasonably priced Asian place to eat. We were definitely not disappointed with Taku. We called ahead for a reservation and was greeted up by a very friendly staff. When we arrived, our table was already set up and we were about 10 minutes early. It was special ramen day and I think it was $3 off the ramen. We all each got a bowl and was moderately satisfied. We felt that the eggs could have been a bit more runny. Otherwise the soup base was decent, with reasonable layers and richness. Good size as well. The salmon sashimi that we ordered was a tad too salty with too much soy sauce. Overall a good experience and will return.
Amazing food, we enjoyed vegetarian ramen and an amazing assortment of rolls! There are lots of cool menu choices to tantalize the taste buds and food hits the table quickly. Service was solid, with a few delays for drink orders, but we had conversation going, so it mattered not... Vegetarian options: Quite a few options for vegetarians, with an amazing, creamy ramen that won't let you leave hungry!
I visited this place with my family while visiting the Niagara Falls and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was great and the staff were really friendly and attentive. The food was really good and we were pleasantly surprised. The sushi was good, tonkatsu was crunchy and tasty, the ramen was outstanding and really flavorful, and the salmon sashimi was super fresh. Overall, the food was great with reasonable portions and prices. Definitely would recommend if you’re in the area. Parking: There’s plenty of parking spots on the side of the restaurant
We did not know of this little gem of a Japanese sushi restaurant until today! It is easy to pass it amongst the bright lights and bustle of the Falls. Very quaint inside, with little private booths make it a very cosy intimate place to enjoy a tasty array of sushi, sashimi and more. Jasmine tea leaves in a real iron pot. Real chopsticks, not disposable. We ordered the Loveboat A for two: mixed greens salad with tasty orange dressing, delicious teriyaki chicken & rice, 2 sets of rolls, hot soup, tempura. Everything was fresh, tasty and unique in flavour. Staff friendly & attentive even though we arrived 45 minutes til closing. We will definitely be back to try more dishes! Parking: Not a large lot but sufficient & close.
It was absolutely delicious! Quaint restaurant, wonderful staff I got beef teriyaki, and wife got a sushi roll We were in an area like a private room with a curtain. Was wonderfulFood: 5/5
We were very concerned by the look of the restaurant from the outside, BUT we were pleasantly surprised by the amazing atmosphere, food, and people on the inside!!! This was the BEST sushi restaurant I have ever been to. I have been to at least 50 sushi/Japanese restaurants, and Taku is number 1. Don't let the old little building fool you. The sushi is super fresh and delicious. The price and value are mind-blowing. Our waitresses were super friendly and very attentive. There's a huge variety of sushi, soups, boxes, and drinks to choose from. The menu is vast and there are a lot of specials too. We were seated inside our own private dining room!!! It's an enclosed dining booth with total privacy. I attached a video of it. This was unexpected and a totally amazing feature of this restaurant . The meal was flawless and the service was uber friendly and fast. Five stars all around. I guess if I had to complain about something, is that the building on the outside needs updating and needs to be decorated better. The inside is well decorated and inviting. We see will definitely come back and eat here. If i had my way and lived in this neighborhood, I would eat here daily. The Laughing Lion was certainly satisfied
I have eaten here plenty of times now, with its fair prices and interesting dining setting; Taku has to be one of the best sushi and ramen restaurants in Niagara Falls. However there is one server not sure of his name where he seems clueless in the setting of a restaurant often forgetting things and taking too long to cater to guests needs. There is an older lady who cruises through the restaurant like a goddess taking care of all needs, which often made up for the lack of the young man’s service. Regardless I highly recommend this restaurant to any tourists or locals trying to get fairly priced delicious food. You can really tell the chefs love for food and their guests. Thank you taku for providing an amazing dining experience in Niagara Falls. Parking: Parking can be scarce sometimes but there are roughly 10 spots on site along with the streets next door where you can park. Kid-friendliness: Can have an open table experience or a closed seating environment, either way it’s wonderful for people of all ages Wheelchair accessibility: The whole restaurant is on one level and side walk access.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Taku Sushi and Ramen in Niagara Falls, Canada, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome from the staff, setting the tone for a delightful meal. The ambiance of Taku Sushi and Ramen is both modern and cozy, with tasteful décor that creates a relaxing atmosphere. The menu is extensive, offering a wide range of sushi, sashimi, and ramen options that cater to diverse palates. I started with a selection of sushi, which was incredibly fresh and artfully presented. Each piece was a perfect balance of flavors and textures, showcasing the chef's meticulous attention to detail. The tuna and salmon sashimi were melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the specialty rolls were innovative and bursting with flavor. The highlight of my visit was the ramen. The broth was rich and savory, simmered to perfection with deep, complex flavors. The noodles had the ideal chewiness, and the toppings, including tender slices of pork, a perfectly cooked egg, and fresh vegetables, were plentiful and high quality. Service at Taku Sushi and Ramen was impeccable. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to provide recommendations. Their passion for Japanese cuisine was evident and added to the overall experience. In addition to the fantastic food and service, the prices were reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the dishes. It's clear that Taku Sushi and Ramen strives for excellence in every aspect, making it a must-visit spot in Niagara Falls. Overall, Taku Sushi and Ramen exceeded my expectations. Whether you're a sushi enthusiast or a ramen lover, this restaurant promises an unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Niagara Falls.
Possible my favorite restaurant in Niagara falls, food is always fresh and excellent, prices are great, always seating available whenever I go. I've gone before for short times or long times and I never feel rushed. They have these little booths with privacy curtains that I absolutely love. Their deep fried scallops are a must by for me, always delicious. I also tend to be frugal but the prices are great it really nice to share a few small items and drinks with friends or to buy a big delicious bowl or ramen and always enjoy a bit of leftovers after. If you were on the fence I hope I swing your vote to try them out.
