NPS visitor center with a movie and displays. Ranch house and barn open for tours. The topography is very hilly. A trail system that sounds well marked and mostly old ranch roads. You can see bison on the preserve.

Great walking paths, even if you don't see the bison. Terrain can be rough, but a distinct lack of trees takes a bit away from the hike to the tallest point (marked on trail maps they give away at the visitors center)

Great park. Great hiking and a herd of buffalo. Catch and release fishing.

Small, but informative visitor's center with an even smaller "gift shop". The stone fences, stone barn and out buildings are impressive as is the house. Most buildings, including the barn, are open and house tours are advertised. Miles of trails through the prairie vary in length and it's easy to arrange a hike to suit yourself.

Went here on a field trip with my daughters class. The ranger was amazing and really explained and showed a lot of things. Lots of cool building to see and hiking trails to see. Got to see some bison out in the field. Will definitely be taking the family back.
