We literally have thousands of customers that have joined our Free Preferred Customer Program and are enjoying the benefits of being members. I would like to make sure that people that are not Preferred Customers understand how beneficial the program can be and to make sure that members are getting all the benefits that are available.
When we ask you to join, we get some basic information such as your name, address, phone and your basic interests as it relates to the categories that we sell. Signing up only takes a minute and gives you permanent benefits. You can sign up on our website, in the store or even when you make a purchase. The single most important thing that you can give us is your email address.
Why? Good question. First of all, any information that you share with us IS NEVER SHARED WITH ANYONE. It is not sold and it will not cause you to get unwanted mail, email or calls. It stays here. As you are probably seeing in your own life, people are reading newspapers less and getting their news through all manner of electronic media. Traditional printed newspaper flyers or ads, or sending them through traditional mail has gotten highly ineffective and incredibly costly. And in many cases, just a nuisance for people to deal with.
We ask for your email because we are now communicating electronically for most of the promotions and events that we offer to our customers.
Every 2 weeks throughout the year, we launch a new Preferred Customer Special Sale. The discounts are often very generous and we choose products across our entire store which includes plants and nursery in season. The specials begin on a Tuesday and end on a Monday 14 days later. During February, our new special sale will begin on Tuesday the 10th and Tuesday the 24th. Customers in the Preferred Customer Program get these lower prices automatically. These specials are posted every 2 weeks at www.TalmageFarm.com and are signed with Gold color signs in our store while they are on sale. Our Preferred Customer Board has all the specials and is located near the entrance to our store.
Twice a month, we send out an “Eblast” to everyone on our email list. This is the only email that we send to everyone on a regular basis. We do not want to fill up your Inbox like so many other retailers do. With this eblast, we will include the Preferred Customer Specials, a link to any Sales Flyer or other promotion that may be in effect, along with any additional Website Specials or Coupons. This blog that you are reading will go out in February too!
This is how we notify customers about things like our incredibly popular “Chick Order Form”, our events like Customer Appreciation Weekend (yes, this year it’s a weekend!) and Chick Days, both in March. Any announcements, featured items or info to help you save will be here too.
Preferred Customers also get super low special prices on some items every day. For example, they always get $5 Off a BBQ Tank refill.
