New great addition to the Algonquin Commons area. Plenty of beer, appetizer, sandwich and burger options. They were a bit understaffed when we went in but the hostess was very nice by letting us know that before we sat down. However, I would say that the speed of service was perfectly fine. All food we ordered was great, server was friendly and the place was very clean. Burger ordered medium was a bit overdone but nothing to complain about. Looking forward to the next visit.
Service was great. Waiter was attentive and prompt with taking our order and attending to our beverage needs. The mozzarella planks were fresh and had a nice crispiness. The cheese inside was ooey and gooey. The five cheese macaroni and cheez with added chicken was fabulous. The mahi-mahi tacos with rice and beans was delicious. Great draft beer selection.
I ordered the Island burger, pretzel appetizer and the smores flatbread. For the price of the food I expected it to taste a lot better. The cheese that came with my pretzels was so oily and did not taste good along with looking unappealing. The burger tasted so weird if I didn't get pineapple on it I wouldn't have been able to eat any of it. The only good thing I got was the smores Flatbread minus feeling like I ate a spoonful of cinnamon it was good. Definitely won't be ordering here again.
Servers and staff work very hard, though it's clear at the moment they are understaffed. All the food was a little off. Beer cheese soup has good beer flavor, but came out cold. Blackened chicken pasta was all tomato flavor, couldn't tell the chicken was blackened. Blackened mahi tacos were excellent, nice big portion of fish with great flavor...but sides were cold.
Meh. Went on a Friday around 5:45pm. Group of four. We all ordered something different and each was just ok The fries tasted old. Regular and the sweet potato fries. The salad was drenched in too much dressing. Not a lot of flavor. Nothing was bad but nothing was good. Our server was great though and the hostess was nice. They just couldn’t overcome the mediocre food. Good atmosphere. We’ll give it one more try.
We have been here twice and both times the food is hot and fast and well-made. I do not know what happens on the weekends but I am not had a bad experience here. The food in my opinion is excellent.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
$4.50 for a root beer!?!? For a 12 year old and not even telling us?!?!? Not a bottle just their Fountain service...... their strawberry lemonade/ five dollars. Whoa! Everyone's reviews about this place is correct it is way overpriced. My food was good just not worth the price.
Located right next to Jared Jewelers. Grace L our server was very nice and helpful. We stopped for lunch on Saturday. The place was clean, bright, and we had no wait. We had two burgers which we wonderful Bacon burger & Hardy Stout Burger. Had the BuckleDown Belt & Suspenders American IPA, which was very good. Located on the first floor. Handicapped parking is available.
Server was great - standard fare for a bar and grill should include special attention to wings, burgers and appetizers. The wings were so dry the bones were falling part. I will only review when pricing is completely out of line with quality. Or, a restaurant completely hits the mark on the two. Sub par food is expected at dive bars where they price accordingly. And, yes, everyone is understaffed, and I have grace. I’ve been out to eat often recently, lower your prices or up your quality.
The server was new... he really did try his best. The food was just.... OK ...OK cooked... OK presented...just OK. I gave 3 stars because the new server really did his best. He has no control over just ... OK... OK to food, cooking, presentation and how it should taste. Who has control over that... that is who needs to fix the OK issues.
