Nice discovery in Adam’s Morgan. Excellent Quesadillas with pork and the cocktail was amazing! Azteca-Teca ….Food: 5/5
I was hungry for a taco and then was walking near this place. Stopped in and ordered their best taco and it did not disappoint. Flavors were bright and vibrant and the price was right. If you’re in the mood for a taco, this is the right place to get a good fix.Food: 5/5
Pretty simple menu, but it's really good. We had the Hurache, tacos, and the shrimp ceviche and a side of rice and beans. The inside has maybe a little more than a handful of tables, but as you walk to the back, what looks to be an outdoor area. They have converted it with awnings and heaters, so it feels like you are indoors. The freshly made tortilla chips and the two different types of salsa are really good. Be careful. The red salsa can be a little hot for some, but if you like heat like me, you keep going back to it. The menu is jot extensive like some other Mexican places, so no burritos or tamales, but what they do offer should be filling enough for you. We came on a Friday night, and it was pretty busy, but there luckily was no wait.
Cute little spot to eat with an open window to the street and a bright interior. I had high hopes going in and ordered chips, salsa and 3 tacos. The salsa came out in squeeze bottles and with a plate. I had to ask for small dipping cups to eat the salsa and the chips weren't very fresh. Then the tacos came out suspiciously quickly. Like 3 minutes quick. The carnitas tacos weren't even very warm and the brisket one was just sooo greasy. Vegetarian options: I remember they had a meatless barbacoa on the menu. It's probably as mediocre as the meat options though.
First time eating Mexican food and we fell in love with it! The staff is super helpful and kind, their suggestions made our day and the entire menu is gluten free. If you are not used to alcohol though the frozen margarita is really strong, be careful. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
Really disappointed, not enough meat on the tacos for the price, they were to small. Lots of pieces of fat on the carnitas one, not enough salsas to go.Food: 3/5
Best Mexican Dinner ever! My friend and I had Nachos with Guacamole and Huarache with Quesabirria choice of protein and we LOVED it! The service, vibe, music,... everything was great! We didn't have a reservation but we were seated promptly. It's pretty busy and a lot of people order take away. It's also pretty cheap! Starter + 2 main dishes 27,50$
We had a great time at Taqueria Al Lado! We visited with our pet dog. It’s not obvious from the pictures but the area with the brick is actually a patio in the back, and it’s very dog friendly. The tacos were great - the fish taco in particular. The SSS Margarita chile, tamarind with mezcal was great too, we ended up sticking around for an extra drink. Eat here if you have a dog - or even if you don’t!
Fantastic tacos and cocktails! They have a great selection of handmade tacos, amazing black beans and a long list of mezcal brands. They put a lot of effort into their menu and it shows. There’s a patio in the back. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Happy to be eating at restaurants like this again!
