Love love it.  Nice vegetarian menu and great customer service.  I eat here often, next to San Mateo train station.  Great meal day or night.  Please support this business.

All the nice workers on their mobile phones, prices too high for the servings....Was hoping they lived up to the traditional hype... if you're looking for a better experience, checkout El Jalapeno on Ocean Ave in the City. 
Thanks La Cumbre, but I'll spend my dollar somewhere else

One of my personal favorites.  Always enjoy the chicken.  Prices are reasonable and the portions are generous.  Parking can be a challenge at lunchtime, even with the Caltrain lot close by.

This restaurant is in a great high-end location. The ingredients are  thoughtful and you can tell that a lot of the kitchen staff is working hard. Unfortunately the entire experience is being destroyed by a horrible young girl working at the cash register. 

I went here a couple months ago. The menu was healthy. I imagine that the family who owns it has put in a lot of hard work over the years. I'm from an entrepreneurial Hispanic family myself... Sadly there was a young Hispanic girl working at the counter who looked extremely miserable and treated me like garbage. She forgot to give the cooks my order, so after sitting for about 30 minutes I asked what was wrong? She looked me in the eye with the most angry miserable look, then turned around and finally gave my order to the kitchen... She didn't say one single word to me!! She never said sorry or anything even close! She looked at every single customer like she was so angry and unhappy with her job. 

The cashier is often the only person that the customer interacts with... 
In this type of neighborhood a restaurant doing such volume of business should pay a few extra dollars per hour to hire a real costumer service professional.This little girls attitude said that she hatted her life and she wasn't getting paid anything. The experience made me feel discussed and worthless.

If they respect their customers in anyway they will hire a more decent cashier!
