I have been visiting this Target for approximately a year and I actually work downtown so I am familiar with their amount of traffic. It's a Target located in downtown they have all the amenities of a standard Target including a small grocery section. Currently Target is in the middle of the Nicollet Mall Cindy zone as well as under going construction on the inside. They have gotten rid of the lunch place inside that sold food from pizzahut and popcorn however, they are converting this space into a liquor store. I would encourage everyone to be patient and work with them through this construction season. Currently the prices here are reasonable and are not different from the standard Target located in residential areas. Who is to say this won't change once renovations and construction is completed.

6/24/17 Very crowded (possibly due to many events going on this wkend?). Cashier was great! The aisles r too small, due to remodeling. Prices @ this particular store r higher than other Target stores. Since I'm a disabled bus rider, I can't tolerate the longer bus ride to a less expensive store. This is the only grocery store I can get to. Would appreciate if the meat & produce were priced much lower, I can't afford to buy it at all! Not everyone who lives downtown is wealthy. Most of your employees r wonderful! After remodeling I'm sure I will score higher. Plz provide disinfectant wipes for the filthy carts. The wet, blue, thin towelettes r not fooling me. Sorry, today was just not a pleasant experience.

It's the classic Target experience in a 2 floor layout. Pretty cool to see if you are downtown and in the area. In a great location and has skyway access.

The company I work for gave me a Target Gift Card, which is purchased from Target store in Downtown Minneapolis. I tried to used it it did not work. So I went to its customer service and they told me I have to call the target card department. Then I called them. They told me that card is somehow blocked, so I have to bring the card, ID and receipt. I went back the store again with these items. Then they told me that they cannot do anything. I asked to talk to her boss. The lady whose name is Amanda showed up with one of the employees who has over 6 foot. I assume that she bring him as body/security guard or whatever. This is very insulting because I didn't scream or use F words or anything. We bought gift card, and it didn't work, so I asked to make it work or return the card. Is this my fault? No I don't think so. and She brought body guard? This person should go back to an elementary school to start over how to talk or present yourself to customer or even as a human being. Anyway, she said I have to call target card department. I told her that I did and they told me to come to the store. She was sounded like I stole card or something. I asked her to talk to her boss. And she said she is the top at store. I hardly doubt she is THE store manager. If so, that store should hire new person ASAP, otherwise the store will close soon or later. The truth is that I make way more money than who work this store include self-claimed store manager, Amanda who cannot talk without standing by 6 feet tall boy. So I left there after she started raising her voice up and called card department again, they asked me to issue a ticket and submit all the items scanned and send them in. Why the hell do I have to do that? Their system sucked and blocked my card and I called twice and went to store twice and they are finally telling me to send the copy of my ID and all the items to unblock gift card? I will never buy their gift card and I will never go to the downtown store as long as Amanda who has elementary level IQ works there.

As far as Targets go, this one seems to lack selection. It has plenty to get your Target run done, but there are items you might expect Target to have because you have seen them at every other Target that will not be here. Staff on the floor is rather quiet for a Target too. You gotta ask for something if you need it because it is unlikely anyone will ask you. Cashiers tend to be upbeat and on par with expectations.
