Closing my account when this popped up. Typing this in the parking lot. Worst credit union in the region. They offer virtually nothing for their customers and are only unique in their terrible customer service. Their website is old, clunky, and their app is just a website wrapper. The thing that sets this credit union apart is how little they care about their members. I became unemployed, and due to a death in my family I just didn't notice my checking account hit $0. All of my bills decided to charge for December. There were 8x $25.00 fees. $200 in fees. The manager of the Clifton Park TCTFCU treated me like a penniless scumbag. She only offered to remove 2 of the fees and gave me that disgusting "I'm *helping* you" tone. It's not *helping* me to take $150 away from me when I already can't afford Christmas. You join a credit union to avoid being treated like scum. Thanks to the manager of the Clifton Park TCT FCU, you get the added benefit of being treated like scum. To close my account after this ordeal, the manager required I drive to the office and sign. They needed an "ink to paper signature" she said. I get there and they have me fill it out digitally. Digitally. With an E-Signature. But faxing or mailing was not an option according to this woman. I am truly disgusted by how I was treated today. In the one moment I made a mistake this credit union decided to compound that mistake and take away Christmas from my family as well. Thankfully I was able to CLOSE my account today with the money I had or I would still be racking up fees due to how this insane and useless branch manager runs her credit union.
