I'll go in to smell or sample teas but whenever I've tried to buy loose leaf tea the employees have refused to sell less than 8oz, even though they said they were able to sell as little as 2oz per type of loose leaf tea. Love the quality but I only buy online so I can avoid the pushy salespeople and buy smaller quantities so I can try multiple types of tea.

BEWARE OF THIS STORE AND BUY YOUR ITEMS ONLINE! Let it go down, I would rather not have this store in the mall with how horrid the people within really are. These next things I am about to disclose are 100% true facts so please take this warning to the utmost importance.

1.) THEY ONLY SERVICE THOSE WHO HAVE MONEY:
The managers tell all their coworkers to only allow people who look well off to come in and keep anyone else out out the store by enticing them to try the outside tea. They also get very angry if people come in only to look as they have sensors in the entry of the door -if you walk in and out without purchasing something then its a point against their sales. 

2.) THEY FEED OFF YOUR INSECURITIES:
When you are hired in, one of the first things you are taught is to use your knowledge of tea to manipulate people. 99% of the time if you come into the store they will suggest Oolong tea because it helps you loose weight, maybe add some matcha to boost that or if your immune system is lacking so they would offer you some of their other high dollar blends to waste your money.

3.) THEY ARE PUSHY BUT WANT EVERY PENNY YOU HAVE ON YOU:
I told you they push those that don't seem to have money out the door but if you do, they will try to sell you the entire store. They will force you to spend much more time then what you probably thought you needed to just to keep you their and get more money to you. "So you just want the wellness-blend today? How about you add some of our lovely Belgian rock sugar, but you know __ tea is a great addition to your current purchase. Oh can I interest you in getting this special as well? Your set up at home isn't nearly as good without it and you can't enjoy the full benefits of your tea without it." Sound familiar? Its a manipulative sales pitch that they have practiced night and day.

4.) THEY WONT LET YOU WORK IF YOU DON'T TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE AND SELL ENOUGH:
They force you to make a goal and grab at least $50 off of each person that comes into the store. This is why this store is so pushy and needy. I have been to other Teavanas in other states and let me just say this is why their store is doing so poorly. People are not stupid, we know when we are being taken advantage of. Just because they have special knowledge of tea they try to tell you what you want to hear in order to get every little amount they can out of your purchase. If they can't they don't get hours. So of course these people are going to treat you just as poorly as their workers.

5.) THEY PURPOSEFULLY OVER HIRE AND TREAT THEIR WORKERS POORLY:
Friend A just got hired and Friend B still works there. Friend A who has a disability couldn't manipulate customers and they made fun and told them and that they would not earn hours or make any money. Friend B gets in trouble for being honest with customers and for not badgering them on how an item works over-and-over. Due to this friend A got no hours for several months straight because they were not "making cut" despite the boss promising them they would get a full-time job there because they had a lot to pay for money wise. Friend A got no hours and eventually got fired without any notice from the boss and was simply blocked/removed from the chat and ignored after that. Friend B still works there but hates both main managers because they constantly bring up the fact that they over-hired on purpose so that they didn't have to come in. That just shows you how much they care about their workers. Rather then help train friend A to be the best they could they just tossed them out because workers there are easy to replace. 

TL;DR this store needs to be out of business. The customer service is beyond poor and the way they are taught to manipulate people by using peoples insecurities and to fudge the truth is just pitiful. All of them are simply out for money and those who respect the customers go home knowing they most likely will be fired over it. Please do not give any support into this Teavana. Shop on their online store and save yourself so much time, money and neglect.

I've been a customer for a while (though not by much choice as there are few places with this quality of tea) but about a year ago I went in to buy 2 oz of tea (the amount usually printed on the tins) and then they charged me for a whole pound! Of course they wouldn't refund or reimburse me, THEY WOULDNT RVEN DISCOUNT IT. Then the cashier became irate because I didn't have the money to purchase the whole pound. Mind you I intended on $20 of tea not $165. The tea is great, the employees not so much.

I bought a 5 oz container of tea and was charged for 4 oz worth of two different teas. I told her I didn't buy 8 oz, I bought 5 of one tea and she gets an attitude and asks me "how do you know it's 5 oz?" Because it says right on the container how much it holds?? Then she argued with me that "that's just how much the tin holds but you were charged for the right amount of tea."..... It holds 5. I was charged for 8..... I was refused a refund because they don't give refunds on tea which I can understand but I couldn't even get money back that they overcharged. It was their mistake and they wouldn't fix it. 

She offered to help me find a tea I would like better which wasn't the issue whatsoever but then she was really rude when I asked for my stuff back so I could leave. 

Really not happy with this place at all, I shouldn't be treated like an idiot for wanting a refund on something I didn't buy!

I've been to several Teavana locations and this one was just as nice and clean and wonderful smelling as the others. We were able to try several of the teas they had ready for sampling. The staff that worked with us was very knowledgeable.
