We have taken our three kids to Tellus twice now. It has a large open plan that makes it easier with multiple kids. There are a variety of exhibits that sometimes change. The kids science area is awesome, and all of mine enjoyed it immensely. Another very nice feature is the gem mining/fossil dig experience. The kids get to take home the gems they pan for as well as one fossil from the fossil dig. I really can’t say enough good things about Tellus. I’m very glad we have it so close.

A really great way to spend a few hours with the family. The facility is pristine and the staff is friendly and willing to guide and answer any questions. PARENT TIP: They are on the ASTC Passport Program so your visit will be free if you are further than 90 miles from your home museum. Highly recommended...

Very interesting place. For all ages. Go early so you can see everything. Dinosaurs, rocks, minerals, metals in raw & polished form. Planetarium show , Solar house & hands on area's too. It's worth the drive to Cartersville.

Great place to take the kids! We stayed for about 4 hrs but could have stayed longer. My boys had a blast digging for fossils and mining for gems. They were so excited that they got to keep gems that they found.

Incredible day trip for our nearly three year old daughter and our family. Be prepared to spend 3.5 hours here or more. After visiting their Planetarium and Solar House and looking through one exhibit thoroughly and one other exhibit quickly (there are a total of five exhibit areas) we ran out of time after two hours had flown by. The cafe is quaint but acceptable, with a good selection of hot food and off the shelf options. The gift shop has cool nicnacs that are mostly reasonable in their variety and price. Best of all, tickets were $10-15 per person and Planetarium tickets were very cheap at $3.5 per person. Highly recommended.
