Welcome to Temple Emanuel of Lakeland! We offer a wonderful variety of programs for all ages and we encourage your participation. Membership is welcome but not required.
If you are looking for a spiritual home where you're a reasured member, I invote you to join us at one (or more!) of our many varied programs. If you are new to the community or have never thought of affiliating, we invite you to consider joining our Sunagogue family. Temple Emanuel is small in numbers, but big in heart. The Mission of Temple Emanuel:
May the door of our Synagogue be wide enough to receive all who hunger for love, all who thirst for fellowship.
May it welcome all who have cares to unburden, thanks to express, hopes to nurture and energy to labor for G-d and mankind.
May the door of this synagogue be narrow enough to shut out pettiness and pride, envy and enmity, bigotry, and bitterness.
May it be too high to admit complacency, selfishness, vulgarity, and harshness.
May our synagogue be, for all who enter, the doorway to a richer and more meaningful life.
May our sanctuary be a place where prayers come easily, where inspiration is found, where the soul of man finds its compliment in the spirit of G-d.
May we all recognize that our synagogue is an extension of our life and personality - it cannot answer those who do not ask.
May we all understand that our synagogue can be no greater than our generosity, nor more inspiring than our sincerity. Let us make our synagogue not only a House of G-d, but an assembly for all His people.
