I took my baby (almost 13 year old) in here after he threw up blood and was in bad shape. I did my research before we took him in and figured he had an ulcer from some dog Asprin I had purchased for him. I was so upset that my dog was sick from something I gave him. They confirmed that is what it was. It was after hours and he had to stay the night so the huge bill was expected. The vet techs and vet seemed to really care about my baby Sarge. He ended up staying 2 nights and they wanted to keep him for a 3rd, when I told them I couldn't afford that they told me I could take him home for the night and bring him back for the next day for a day stay when I was at work and pick him up after. They gave me the price for this and I was happy and thought it was a good option because it was about 1/4 of the price of him staying the night again. I dropped him off the next morning and picked him up after work. When I went to pay it was almost double the amount they quoted me for him to stay during the day. They wanted me to bring him back the next day, but I was out of money by then. Sarge recovered from the rest of his ulcer at home, and I am so grateful for their help in saving my dog. Almost immediately after we got home I noticed him limping really bad in one of his front legs and him lowering his hips when he would stand. It almost look like the position of a female dog peeing. I assumed he was just healing, but after about a month of this I called the vet office to see if there was any incident report of him being dropped during his stay, because he was so weak he couldn't walk and was carried everywhere in the vet office. They said they didn't have any report of anything. Here we are about 5 months later still with the same back hip problem and front limp problem that he didn't have before he went in. I'm still paying off his vet bill from October so I have been shopping around to find somewhere to take him. Even with these issues, I'm still giving them 4 stars because the customer service and the tech and vet did seem genuine, and my dog is still alive because of their efforts. I just think it is a big coincidence for these other symptoms to happen after he got home when he didn't have the symptoms before.

As a dog walker and boarder we visit quite a few vets around town. Today we had our first visit and switched vets. They were able to get us right in, had a full friendly staff, and Dr.Clark provided me with options! So many of my clients recommended Tender Care and we know why.

We were so excited to find a new vet clinic close to home. Had nothing but good experience until we had an after hours emergency. We called the number, got the after hours voice mail, went on to get the on call vet on the phone. I told her what was happening, our dog had been vomiting all night and had become seriously dehydrated to the point she couldn’t even walk. She preceded to tell me I should just go to the emergency vet in springs or wait till regular business hours to bring her in. I was so disappointed. I felt like tender care was MY vet. I wanted my pet to see HER vet. If you are going to advertise being a 24 hour vet with emergency service then that’s what you should be when someone calls with an emergency. The emergency pet hospital on powers took us in with no questions and took very good care of our girl. She spent a whole day receiving IV meds and fluids.

After my initial visit I was certain I would never use Tender Care for my Dogs needs. But, I want to thank Caitlyn for her persistence ,reassurance and professionalism. Caitlyn went above and beyond my expectations to retain my patronage. The staff treated my dogs as if they were there own, I will definitely be returning to Tender Care for Vet and grooming needs in the future. Thanks again!
