I had a simple request, whiskey and coke with a twist. They looked at me as if I was speaking Russian. Maybe they'll see this post... 

Definitions and usage. A negroni cocktail served on the rocks. ... "With a twist" signals the bartender to add a "twist" of lemon or lime (bar choice, if unspecified) to the cocktail. Often, the bartender will hang the rind of the citrus on the glass as a garnish (see martini photo above).
