Refael with Teva Construction and his crew built us a large attached rear deck which we absolutely love! My wife and I wanted it to match the exterior of the house as well as possible and they did a great job! Every aspect of their work from designing the main structure to making it flow with our back yard, was faultlessly done. What is more, they did it with plenty of time to answer our question, listen to our suggestions and with a willingness to incorporate minor design changes which we had not anticipated in the beginning. Refael went out of his way to help our family with a project - even spending time talking to me on his vacation to make sure we got the service we needed. He goes above and beyond. Extremely thorough and professional. We highly recommend Teva and have already called them for another project we are working on.

I discovered my water heater broke just as my little toddler was shivering naked in the bath tab, Thursday night. I did what any mother would do - I heated water in the kettle, washed him briefly and got him into his warm PJ as soon as I could, feeling grateful that the next day was Friday - I could still get it repaired before the weekend. Or that's what I thought... My landlord couldn't get a hold of her handyman, and all the people they recommended weren't available that weekend. So was Teva Construction. He was fully booked, and still - he showed up. He repaired the water heater quickly, but warned me that it is out of warranty and there's a good chance it won't last long. Sure enough, that night, it stopped working again. The next day, on a Saturday, while I was at SXSW, Refael (the owner of Teva Constraction) acted like a true friend would - he arranged with my landlord to have the water heater replaced, he ensured that the replacement would take place that same day - on a Saturday, without an extra charge of an emergency call, and he followed up with a phone call to make sure the water temperature was to my liking, ready to send his guy back out or even come himself, if it wasn't. If you're looking for a handyman who treats you and your home like family, not like a side job - Teva Construction is your only smart choice.

I have hired Refael on several occasions. The first time I hired him was mostly for electrical work and light fixtures in my new house. He added spot lights with dimmer in my office; all new light fixtures in living room; replaced fluorescent kitchen light with track lighting; pendant lights over the bar (sealed and textured drywall where previous lights were); new vanity fixtures; dining table lighting. Also he ran in-wall wiring for the entire home theater and home network. The second job I hired him for was painting and carpentry. Refael helped me choose a design pattern for the bedroom, and then painted my bedroom, master bath, and living room, as well as taught me to paint so I could do the other rooms myself. Next, he built window casing (frames) for 10 windows. The third job involved total kitchen renovation. He managed all aspects of the job, from demolition to granite installation to cabinet painting. The results speak for themselves. The window casings look fantastic – they have given the house a modern, warm feel. The lighting fixtures, kitchen counters, cabinetry -- our home is completely modernized. The home theater speakers are mounted beautifully without even an inch of exposed speaker wire – truly a professional home theater speaker installation. The paint job is exceptional. Refael is very attentive to detail, and he offers valuable insights on both the technical and creative aspects of interior design. If you are remodeling your home, Refael and his crew are the people you want. Impressive results all around. -Maya B

I used Teva Construction to do multiple home repairs in a short amount of time: replace an old hot water heater in my garage, repair a leak in my roof, repair the masonry on the outside of my house, and perform a few general contractor improvements inside my home that required drywall repair. I couldn't be happier with the owner, Refael Eizraelov, and his coworker, Ariel. For each project, Refael took me through his opinions of what kind of work would be necessary and presented different options, the general pros and cons of the approaches to repair, as well as his experiences in the past working on similar issues. Some of the work required subcontractors (ie masonry and roof), and Refael and Ariel handled all of the communication with the subs (which was nice because Spanish is not my primary language). In all cases, they could provide a work history with the subs and show examples of their previous work to assure me of the high quality workmanship. Either Refael or Ariel indicated to me multiple times via text and images that he was on-site monitoring progress and that work was progressing smoothly. No work was deemed complete until Refael had personally approved the final results. After the work was complete, they also made sure to walk me through the repairs with the sub present in case I had any questions. I am very pleased with the final results, the speed at which the projects were completed, the fact that work was done on time and on budget, and that I actually learned something about construction and home repair in the process. Unlike many contractors, Refael never made me feel like he was pushing more expensive options, and in fact indicated to me where I could save money by performing work myself. I really appreciated the honesty and directness in my dealings with Teva Construction and would definitely use them again in the future.
