I was wary of getting my license renewed due to all of the negative reviews and I had a surprisingly good experience. I used the online system to "get in line" and it told me my approximate time to be helped would be 2:30 pm. I arrived at 2:20 and was out the door with my license renewed at 2:43. The person who helped me was very nice as well. If you try to walk in and be seen you are going to have a long wait so it's great that they have this online "get in line" system as an option. I would highly recommend utilizing it.

Giving them a one star rating is extremely generous. System would not allow me to rate lower, hence the one star. I can’t believe a portion of my tax dollars pay their salaries. Instead of making common sense decisions in an effort to help or assist, the staff are trained to search for any possible technicality to send you away; even if it can be reasonably resolved with a little prudence and common sense. It appears the staff delight or get some type of cruel satisfaction, anticipating a bonus, if they are somehow successful in denying your efforts and turning you away. I could be specific concerning my several visits and interactions, but this rating would turn into a book and people would not read the lengthy discourse. This office is an abuse and blatant misuse of government funds. Management should be fired or demoted for their longstanding incompetence. More accurate rating would be .05 stars.

Absolutely the WORST experience ever. Take in mind I’ve never felt the need to comment on anything but this is crazy man. Like why be rude? Take your ass home if you don’t want to work. Find your ass another job that wouldn’t be providing customer service. I waited for like 3 hours and to top that, the woman that “attended” me was the rudest person I’ve ever spoken too. She’s an african american woman around her 60’s. I don’t know her name, and do not wish too. Acting like they don’t want to be there, like do they think we like going there in the first place? Hell no.

They're changing rules randomly. I tried three times to obtain a permit not because I have difficulty to pass the exam but each time they rejected my proof of address with different excuses. Is an official mail sent to you from the university valid to show your address? it is, only when you don't have it! Also two attempts to fail the driving test. The first time the they told me I should drive 5-10mph less than speed limit while the second time they said I should make it within 5mph. If you show your observations obviously they said you have a posture issue. And also remember you cannot reduce your speed while turning and passing a cross. And you cannot avoid the damage of road because you passed the invisible "center line". I know I'm just a stupid foreigner to them. I have a lot of things to learn although I have 9 years of driving experience, it is still possible that I'm in lack of practice. Well, I would like to ask one last question. Please tell me: Isn't it an abuse of power???

What a shotty way to treat people. Wait time is ridiculous here. There is no one at the front desk, you must get a number from an automated computer, wait 3 or more hours, then you get to talk to someone. Plan to be here all day, even if you're doing something simple.
