All the pies are great. We love the chess pie, coconut cream, peach and blackberry to just name a few. 😉

This place is simple. They make pies with a limited menu of sandwiches and sides in what is an old historic house that seems to be straight from the wild west days of Texas. Obviously, I came here for one thing and one thing only; pies. Everything is made from scratch. The only place to sit is outside on their incredibly charming porch with a nice street view of Olive Street in old town Keller, just far enough away from the street noise of 377. When you come in you walk past the coffee cabinet to a lovely pie display at the end of the hall right outside the kitchen. Those are the pies available for that day, made fresh, that day. The day we went the owner had blueberry, lemon chess, pecan and one other I can't remember. We went for the 3 slice sampler for $7.00 which includes unlimited coffee or tea. This is American drip coffee options only . . . I don't believe they offer any espresso coffee. We decided to get two blueberry slices and one lemon chess. These were darn freaking good pies! The lemon chess is one of my new favorite pies. The blueberry was fantastic. They taste like pies used to, made with wholesome quality natural ingredients and made truly from complete scratch. I couldn't get enough. The 3 slice sampler is actually a great deal because even though the slices are half the standard slice, they are perfectly good portion slices. A normal slice is 1/6 of the pie, which explains why the prices might seem a little high at first. They aren't. It is just that the sizes are Texas portions . . it is named after all the "Texas Harvest Pie Company" for a reason. The baker/owner was very kind/courteous and attentive in true Texas fashion. This place has nothing extra I say. Come here for pie, enjoy the porch sitting while eating said pie, then walk across the street to the book store and get a good book to read. This most definitely is my new favorite place for my weekly sweet treat. I imagine this would hit the spot on sunny days as well as lazy rainy days where the processed carb cravings are higher than usual. Come one pie lover, come all pie lovers.

Absolutely the best lemon chess pie! Can't wait to get back and buy a whole one AND try another flavor.
