Story

Texas Star Pharmacy is located in Plano and was founded by Mike and Donna Barsky who have called Plano home for over 30 years. To this day, Texas Star strives to provide patients and doctors with high quality compounds and exceptional service! Caring for our customers, and providing you with a pharmacy that is customized for your needs remain at the heart of our core values.

Our world class custom medication compounding team is lead by Donna Barsky, and we strive to work with physicians and patients to optimize medications for the needs of the individual patient.

We offer delivery services in and around Plano,McKinney, Frisco, and Allen. We also offer one of the largest selections of orthopaedic braces and supports anywhere in Collin county, and custom fit diabetic shoes.

I normally go here for my monthly prescriptions and vitamins. Today I had questions and needed assistance. Clarissa and Christina were outstanding!! They answered my questions and gave very helpful information. They both greeted me with smiles which is always a nice touch! 
Today, Texas Star was more than my "pick up pharmacy" it was my knowledge and "let's get you better" pharmacy.

My orthopedic surgeon said they started using Texas Star instead of Rite Care for their Duexis prescriptions.  I received my $2200 Duexis prescription today, from Texas Star, by Fedex in a flimsy 6 in by 8 in thin and torn bubble wrap bag.  Furthermore, there was no prescription label with the doctors instructions on the bottle.  I’ve been getting prescriptions for over 50 years and have never received one without the label and doctor’s instructions, that is until now.  I called Texas Star and talked to the pharmacist and asked them to mail me the prescription label for the bottle.  I also informed her of the extremely poor packing of the prescription.   She didn’t seem overly concerned and wanted me to call back next week and tell someone else.  I told her she works there, it’s her job and she needs to handle it.  I’m going to show my doctor at Arlington Orthopedic how Texas Star packs and ships their medications.  They need to switch back to Rite Care.  This has been a poor experience with Texas Star!

I got some supplies here after a surgery that even Kroger did not carry. They offer quality compounds, great supplements, supplies and great service.

Outstanding Service. I particularly appreciate the expertise of Donna, PharmD , the Nutritional Consultant and the staff in making important decisions regarding my health care. I highly recommend this pharmacy

I severely injured my shoulder & at the advice of my Doctor needed a sling. I asked the youngster that helped me if she knew how to fit a sling to me. She said "sure" but it was obvious she did not. I expressed that I was not comfortable with what she was doing she admitted she did not know nor did anybody else. She rudely suggested I try another Pharmacy. I did and got good help elsewhere.
