Story

In Manhattan in 1965, there was no place where people could go out to meet friends and make new ones in an environment that was at once both relaxed and yet exciting. Then, Alan Stillman opened Fridays as a way, he said, “to meet Pan Am stewardesses.” Suddenly, there was a place with great food, new and exciting drinks and an electric energy. A place where bartenders mixed the environment just as well as they mixed drinks. In short, a place like nowhere else. Today, Fridays in Greensboro, NC is still America’s most iconic bar and grill. We embrace and celebrate our heritage as a bar. One that just happens to serve killer food in an environment where it’s always Friday.

The 6oz sirloin is approximately the size of the inside of a woman's palm. It's small and expensive. You have to purchase a salad for $3.99 if you want one with your meal. The drinks are really juicy... Meaning not much alcohol. I tried the tropical Long island tea... It's a waste of money. The sauza Rita was good but had to all for light juice. They pile on the ice. Not exactly work the price either. The bacon wrapped shrimp was REALLY good. Amazing combination. Overcooked the steaks but still was edible. Take your overcooked steak and dip it because the Jack Daniels sauce is delicious on everything. It was during lunch time, so the service was good. Not really busy.

We were here last weekend and it did not go well. While the food was good the kitchen was extremely behind. Our food came out at different times. We were there from 5:16 to 7:15, and it took 20 minutes to get kids desserts. With so many other options in the area I would definitely choose somewhere else.

Once seated the table was dirty. We asked the young lady who seated us if she can clean the table ; she wipes it with a dry napkin (We ended up cleaning it with a sanitizer wipe). Waited 1 hour for our food, the appetizer was cold. 10minutes after leaving my stomach started to hurt bad and was in the hospital overnight. I was later told I had a stomach virus. Our waitress was really sweet as well as the manager. However they have to do better.... Decided to return again with my mom because she loves Friday's however again the food was cold and the service was not how it used to be a year ago. Definitely won't return to this location.

The host was very pleasant seated my party of 6 right away and upon my request moved us to a window sit instead of sitting in the open floor right in the middle of passing traffic. The server is where my one star comes from, I ordered endless apps which is $15 and I told her when she took my order so that All I’m going to do is keep alternating between mozzarella sticks & garlic Parmesan boneless chicken so that way we can keep them coming well I receive two of each and the gap was so far in between that everyone was done eating and I’m still hungry, they only give you four mozzarella stick each time and five chicken balls, I even said to her after she place my plate in front of me did she have my next round ready, she says yes they are coming out now I kidd you not 15 minutes pass and my food did not come, she didn’t remove the dirty dishes off our table she didn’t check on us and we needed her for different things such as condiments, napkins, refills, extra plates. Her whole attitude change when we requested different things she even asked us did we need a box for our food to go and we was still eating and not only that we was going to order dessert too. The food I had as good wish it was more of it and my food was hot my dessert too. No complaints for the temperature or taste it’s just for $15 endless and I only had two rounds and I didn’t even share with no one and I was still hungry I ordered dessert because everyone in my party was done eating and I didn’t want to be the hold up being we was on a hour lunch break, the resturant was clean, bathroom was clean, the server is why I gave it a one star 🤷‍♀️

Haven't eater here in awhile! But today was great! From the food to our waitress Alaya! Hope she doesn't mind the shout out!! She was very pleasant, and kind, kept check on us and drinks full! Great service today!!
