Story

In Manhattan in 1965, there was no place where people could go out to meet friends and make new ones in an environment that was at once both relaxed and yet exciting. Then, Alan Stillman opened Fridays as a way, he said, “to meet Pan Am stewardesses.” Suddenly, there was a place with great food, new and exciting drinks and an electric energy. A place where bartenders mixed the environment just as well as they mixed drinks. In short, a place like nowhere else. Today, Fridays in Reynoldsburg, OH is still America’s most iconic bar and grill. We embrace and celebrate our heritage as a bar. One that just happens to serve killer food in an environment where it’s always Friday.

When I entered the restaurant I got in line behind a gentleman who looked like he was waiting for an order. Several groups came in to be seated (I am aware it's Friday night). After they were seated (several minutes) a hostess asked if she could help me. I said I had placed a take out order. She didn't ask my name. Another person came in and a hostess asked him how many in his party. He said he had a take out order and she asked him his name. He gave his name, she found his order on the rack and he left. I went to the rack, found my order, as I'd been told on the phone that my order was ready. I was able to get the attention of a hostess to tell her no one had asked for my name when I said I was picking up a take out order. She apologized and I asked for 2 extra dipping sauces. It took her 2 trips to the kitchen to get these (more than 5 minutes). I signed my receipt with a marker, as there was no pen available. I thanked them and left with my order. I understand how stressful it is for hostesses on a Friday night. I felt as if I was invisible when I waited patiently to be acknowledged. I refuse to get nasty with restaurant staff because I understand how difficult it is to serve a hungry public on a busy Friday. You might want to consider more detailed training for staff.

Had lunch here today. Everything was great! Waitress was spot on never had to wait long on anything. Cheesecake is a must! Thanks Kimberly for a great meal and fantastic service. We will be back.

The manager Dave Rose cane to our table to make sure our meals were to our liking. My mother order fish that was originally frozen and needed to be dropped into the deep fryer to be cooked. The fish wasn't cooked completely. I always order a meal with the Jack Daniel's glaze so, I ordered the flat steak which is always tender. My mom ended up getting the same steak for the first time and she was very pleased. Mr. Rose surprised my mother and I by only charging us for our drinks. Thank you Mr. Rose for making our dining experience what it always should be..... HAPPY and SATISFYING. We definitely will be dining at TGIF in the future for great service and food!!!!

Expensive but worth it. Our server was very nice and friendly. She kept coming back to see if everything was good and if we needed anything. Food was delicious. We took our 3 & 13 year old boys and they both loved it. (that's very rear in our family) I would definitely go again.

Salad warm,blue cheese forgotten on salad. Told waitress but still didn't get blue cheese. Extra dressing for mother in laws salad was asked for,had to be reminded. The restaurant wasn't that busy for things to be forgotten.
