Story

In Manhattan in 1965, there was no place where people could go out to meet friends and make new ones in an environment that was at once both relaxed and yet exciting. Then, Alan Stillman opened Fridays as a way, he said, “to meet Pan Am stewardesses.” Suddenly, there was a place with great food, new and exciting drinks and an electric energy. A place where bartenders mixed the environment just as well as they mixed drinks. In short, a place like nowhere else. Today, Fridays in Hazlet, NJ is still America’s most iconic bar and grill. We embrace and celebrate our heritage as a bar. One that just happens to serve killer food in an environment where it’s always Friday.

This place is 5 min. from my house. Not only is it convenient but the staff is great. Very friendly, professional and fun to hang with. Victoria is our favorite, every time we are there with my wife she is spot on with knowledge and very friendly. Thank you guys for making us feel at home each and every time!

We pass two other TGI Friday's to go to this one. The service is always good. The food is always fresh. We typically try to get a booth by the bar and its always busy there. The one closest to our house (less than 5 minutes), just went once. Hazlet is our location.

The site has been remodeled, and looks nice. There a new menu items, one of which I tried and enjoyed (shrimp on naan bread). Our waiter was nice and competent. No complaints.

"They need to take the endless apps off the menu. Me and my family waited almost 40 minutes for burgers and kids food. The manager is horrible and should be in the kitchen getting food out. My waiter said they are back up because of the endless app. Take the endless apps off and maybe people can get there food faster." I will never go to that o e again.

I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. YOU'D BE WISE NOT TO GO EITHER! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND JUST DRIVE THE EXTRA TEN MINUTES AND GO TO THE TGIF ON ROUTE 9 IN OLD BRIDGE! Service is OK. Food is standard for a TGIF. Antedotel accounts: 1-A little over a year ago, I went out to eat and found TWO long hairs in my dessert at the end of the meal. I brought this to the manager's attention and sent it back, having lost my appetite. Then when the check came, I got charged for the food I didn't eat! After much arguing, they gave me a card for a free dessert on another visit, but still wanted me to pay for the food I NEVER ATE. I refused and handed the manager the total on the receipt, minus the one dessert. 2- I went about a year ago, willing to give this location another shot. I used debit card that I just received that day. So in other words, I had it for one day with no other uses. Later in the week, my account was flagged as someone was making purchases in NY and it seemed suspicious. Being as I and the TGIF waitress were the only two people to ever handle this card, I called The restaurant the next day and was informed "they were aware of the problem and released the waitress" and hung up on me. Not even an apology. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. YOU'D BE WISE NOT TO GO EITHER! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND JUST DRIVE THE EXTRA TEN MINUTES AND GO TO THE TGIF ON ROUTE 9 IN OLD BRIDGE!
