We had to book a room at the last minute for an unexpected overnight stay in Lewes. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room however was less than decent. Hair covered the toiletry "bowl/holder", the phone in the room did not work AT ALL, which was a huge safety risk as my child had a medical problem, and the fan in the bathroom was broken.

Great place with clean rooms, plenty of towels and quiet. Lovely pool and the lobby is spacious, bright and boasts a large assortment of books for your reading pleasure. Twenty four hour a day coffee in the lobby and the entire staff is welcoming and friendly. Try 'The Pig and Publican" restaurant next door. Superb food and service and a great variety of imported beer on hand.

Born in Lewes and return every summer with my children. Stayed at the Beacon for the first time this weekend and couldn't have been more pleased. Friendly, welcoming staff, excellent location near the canal, bay, and ocean, clean rooms, several spacious sun decks in addition to the private balcony off of each room, parking was never an issue even when the hotel was totally booked, and the pool was the cleanest swimming pool I've seen in a long time. We loved it and will definitely stay here again!

Nice place, did not have reservations and were able to get a room. The first room the lock broke so we got another room. Nice people great location.

Great place to stay. Classic motel with excellent guest service. Everyone is very friendly. Second floor pool is a ton of fun for the kids. Motel is in walking distance to both dining/shopping and the beach.
