There's been a many-year gap between my first and second visits here. In my memory the Beef House was incomparable. I remembered their wonderful yeast rolls with strawberry jam. My second visit here left me with a much different opinion. First off, my waitress, Phyllis, was a dear.... no complaints whatsoever there. I got the lunch special which was a choice of meat, salad bar, drink and 2 sides. The meatloaf was awful. It was very dry; like it had been sitting under the heat lamp too long. My 2 sides of corn and soup were very good. The salad bar didn't have very many things to choose from. The plates for the salad bar were perfect squares and completely flat. You can't pile up much salad on a flat, square plate. It was all-you-can-eat, but I didn't want to keep going back and forth to refill my impractical plate... maybe that's the idea? At the cash register I was ignored because the hostess was on the phone. I was noticed by another employee who seemed rather snooty and irritated that I wanted to purchase some strawberry jam. I guess I'll just say that Phyllis and the rolls were the bright spots at this restaurant.

Awesome place to eat!! The steaks are really great! Their biscuits are to die for! And the service is really great too! They are a bit pricey, tho. But it's one of my favorite places to eat whenever I'm in the area.

Solid, old-fashioned restaurant offering high-quality steaks, excellent bread rolls, salad bar (it isn't huge but the selection is good and the food fresh), and tasty desserts. It's often busy, and service can be hit or miss. It reminds me of a supper-club or older country club, so nothing cutting-edge or unusual — just very good food.

Good steakhouse. Every one enjoyed their meal. For the price it's about worth some may argue it's a bit pricey. Had the Jack Daniels New York Strip which despite the description lacked flavor and for the price an 8 ounce filet would have been a better deal. The buns. Okay so they are big hot fluffy buns served with strawberry jam, yes they are great.

Best place to eat a steak. Best beef around period! It's so good they even have it on display as you walk in!
