This place was pretty good. The pizza was top-notch 10/10 and worth the price. However, the garlic knots are lacking... garlic. They just didn't have a lot of flavor. Also, the wings are delicious, but a bit pricey for how many you get. Got the ooey gooey butter cake for dessert, which was also delicious! I would definitely go back for the pizza! And I would try some other starters besides the garlic knots next time.
My new favorite pizza place. Pizza by the slice pizzerias are a dying breed but this place is fantastic. Fair prices, fantastic crust and some of the best boneless wings I’ve had in Missouri. Fountain drinks have a nice selection. Pretty quick service even on a Saturday.
I ordered delivery. I got a small cheese bread and a supream 18 in. I paid over the phone for food and tip. When it arrived and we opened the cheese bread box, my grown daughter and I just stared at each other and the mess that was in the box. It looked like someone had made, cooked, kept to the side all day, then run thru the oven when i ordered it, so I could see sauce between all the thousands of little cheese bubbles. They were rock hard. The pizza looked okay. But then I remembered I ordered a Supreme. There were about 7 green pepper dots on there, the entire pizza had 4 pepperoni on it, the Italian sausage was only on one side, and no extra cheese that I asked for. 41 dollars wasted. After looking at my own pics, there were more pepperoni. Awful experience for me.
I am spending two weeks in Springfield this summer, and I am trying out a variety of highly rated and affordable restaurants in the area. The Big Slice is one of my favorites so far. Their pizza is very good, and it’s only a few dollars a slice. I wish they had a pizza restaurant like this where I’m from, because I would eat here often.
This might be the best pizza I’ve had. It was Bert good. The crust and the sauce are great. I’ve never had NY pizza before so I wasn’t sure but I’ll be getting this again soon
The place is a gem. Want great New York style pizza, variety, and good service? This is your place. Tasty pizza and a good selection of beer. Grab a slice or a whole pie. Bonus, you can watch your pie being constructed.
We’ve been going to the Sunshine location on Sundays the past month or so while our daughter is at basketball practice. We have all of Springfield to choose from, and we keep finding ourselves back at The Big Slice for a Blue Moon and something amazing from their menu. The service has been comparable to feeling as if we’ve been loyal customers and friends for years. Thank you very much! Highly recommended!
Call to order and ask you there’s any specials and no there are not. Then said what I need is pretty simple just sausage which was a paper thin slice of ground sausage. Beef which was a few rumbles that you had to find. Green peppers which were much more pineapple but not over the top compared to the beef. Lastly mushrooms which were adequate and visual because they were very large pieces which is OK. Taste was good but with the current trend in the pizza sauce and toppings are not spread to the edge of the crust. When picking up pizza I noticed the $24 and some change seemed a bit much for a 14 inch piece and then I looked to see that A five topping the supreme ruler was 20 bucks. So I got one less topping the toppings weren’t enough to fogged up a mirror and I gotta charge four dollars more than a five topping virtually with pepperoni for the beef and onions which I could have had taken off. Anyway not now or not ever will I be back to this place. Have no idea how it can get a 4.5 rating unless it must’ve been the stuff back in the day because they are lagging. Pitch would have to be to go to now and I think a place called Maso Pizza really good. Choose wisely my friends.
Amazing pizza, we had the C.B.R chicken, bacon, ranch The chocolate chip cookies are an added tasty treat.
These guys nailed the big slice pizza experience! Having enjoyed it in NYC, it is hard to get the same type elsewhere and I was not disappointed. The garlic knots are very dense dough, but tasty. Friendly service and lots of indoor seating. Don't leave without enjoying a fresh baked cookie as well.
