Great food, great service. Tip included. We had two appetizers, 3 salads, 1 dessert, 1 wine, beer and refills on soft drinks are charged. Bill came to $172. Worth it.

Loved the decor, busy but not overwhelmingly noisy. The wait staff was courteous and prompt. The menu was a bit limited on choices, but the quality of the food was excellent. The flavor profiles were delicious and satisfying. We will be back.

You know that feeling when you see a friend after a few years, and about halfway through the meeting you realize you should've just stayed with your new friends?

That was me this weekend after promising the S/O this place for a few years. I'm not sure what happened with my old friend. Maybe it was when they stopped offering packs of beer for the kitchen? Maybe now the staff doesn't have to work for a tip?(which seems to work everywhere else besides Pullman.) I don't know. 

We were seated in a timely manner, though it was a good thirty minutes from being seated until receiving our cocktails, even at ~50% occupancy. Food service was taken in a hardly reasonable time. The food and cocktails are this place's only saving grace. Our server even had walked near us at least three times with back turned, acknowledging a party of five (of whom he seated after us and even offered to pack their meal befor ours). 

During our meal, we had seen the busser and hostess at least three times (both whom were fantastic), meanwhile never seeing our server within 45 minutes to even offer a second drink, or to even ask how our meal was. Literally came up to the table after us sitting idle for nearly 15 minutes and asked us if we were ready for our check. . .

I have never felt the need to leave a poor review, but last thing I'd want is someone else to waste their hard-earned money for lackluster service. I guess if money and respect doesn't mean much, then by all means go, but if you work hard for your dollar, your money is much more appreciated elsewhere.

The food was fairly good and the dinner rolls were very delicious. It was definetly a little pricey but understandable in some ways. I was very unhappy with being seated at a table in between the kitchen window and the restrooms. I also didn't appreciate the waitress scoffing and questioning me for wanting a salad as an entree. I wish I could have experienced the atmosphere of the resturaunt but the table in the back corner shoved behind a support beam left me looking at a restroom sign and a blank wall.

One of the best experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. Staff was very well trained and prompt. There isn't much great food in this city but it is evident that The Black Cypress is the top restaurant here and would do well even in a competitive city.
