Too cute. The restaurant is fairly priced with large portions and good food. It's very touristy with the opportunity to buy absolutely anything with a little black dog on it, but their collections of shops and restaurant are so cute, it's more charming than anything. It's one of the nearest restaurants if you come in from the ferry and a safe bet for a cute welcome to the vineyard and a good meal.

I have been to the Tavern multiple times . I enjoy the large tables and the staff. I enjoy the unrivaled view on the bay if you are sitting near the windows. The service is generally pleasant and nicely accommodating with kids. That's for the nice parts! On the downside: no changing space for babies. It is rather enraging given that the company sells mountain of baby gears within its ever expanding empire. The coffee is dreadful by any standard, reminiscent of weak beef cube stock. The pancakes are unreliable: the quantity of fruits varies greatly from one morning to another. The granola is served with split tasteless yogurt. If you sit in the back, you are basically looking at a parking lot. Although it is mildly entertaining to watch the aspiring customers maneuvering their behemoth vehicles, it can get deafening when the propane truck delivers the Tavern. All in all, I'll be back as it is a rather fine place for kids. If you happen to have tastebuds on your mouth and want to enjoy a romantic brunch, err, it won't quite make it.

Fish and chips were awesome. Atmosphere was pic worthy. A little pricey for October

Rustic inside. Hostess was very nice. We were almost turned away for breakfast but she found us a table. View is nice of the harbor. Food took long but yummy.

Park in the ferry lane early so you can stop at the Black Dog Tavern for a farewell lunch. Order a beautiful salad topped with an epic pile of lobster. My forever dining partner loves the creamy New England clam chowder all served by cheery staff. Great experience even without a buying the classic t-shirt.
