First of all almost all of the 5 star reviews are from employees and or relatives of employees. That being said, the 3.4 stars is grossly over what it should be. This could be a great facility, but first they would need to sell to a company that actually cares and fire everyone employed and start from the bottom up. Good nurses and CNA's are driven out by the horrific conditions, and your loved ones are left with the bottom of the barrel caretakers. There is no quality to the care that is given, and nurses that speak up are quickly shown the door. Please do not put your loved one here. This place is truly hell on earth for the residents.

I am a patient in the stroke recovery program at the Brentwood rehab. from the first moment I came in the door they made me feel at ease, like a family. Every single person introduced themselves and asked if I needed anything, which made my family also at ease. Everyone from the Director to social services have gone out of their way, over and above to help my recovery. But lets not forget the rehab department where I receive Fantastic physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy!

This place is THE WORST NURSING HOME.. around. High staff turnover, every week you find new people. Now using agency nurses who are clueless don’t know the patients or even care about what they are doing, just there to make quick money and go. My dad was about to receive the wrong medications, when I asked the agency nurse she went back to clarify just to realize she was about to give my dad another patient’s medications. Thankfully my father knows all his medications. Management treats the regular staff really bad, nearly all the good staff members have left or on their way out. New director is abit on the heavy side and seems she has a hard time walking so she is not the floors interacting with staff or patients like the old directors. One staff member said she is only concerned with paperwork and passing the state survey, apparently they are having one fairly soon. Very disorganized. Everyone is new, from management to managers on the floors. Some nurses are so good but so overworked/unappreciated and you now see them once in a blue moon as they no longer work as much as before. I’m not sure what’s going on at this place. The quality of care has significantly declined. Very many new grad nurses who are clueless about what they are doing. This place will hire anything/anyone with a license. I asked one staff member how many RN’s work here and they have less than 3 floor RN’s, so our loved ones are be cared for by LPN’s. Working on finding my dad a new place to transfer him out. I’m just surprised the state allows this place to stay open. I could go and on but why bother, I will be transferring my loved one out very soon.

My mother has been a long term resident of Brentwood Danvers. Due to my mother's medical issues it was no longer safe for her to remain at home. Brentwood Danvers is staffed with a professional and dedicated Brentwood Team who have compassionately taken care of my mother. Due to the ageing process my mother has had 2 orthopedic surgeries and is a breast cancer survivor. Without the quality of the Brentwood Team she would not of recovered from these medical crisis as quickly or have had such a positve result that effects her quality of life. I have always had access to all staff to improve the quality of life of my mother. Brentwood social services conducts family meetings on a quarterly basis to enhance the care of my mother. Although the Brentwood team is strong and composed of talented and compassionate staff the team becomes stronger with the input of my family. I love my mother I know what she enjoys therefore notifying the appropriate Brentwood sfaff of an request will only enhance the quality of my mother's life. I can honestly state without skilled Brentwood team nursing and physcial therapy my mother would not be in her current robust medical condition enjoying life. I have mentioned medical and physical therapy but I need to mention the quality of the resident's food. There are seveal unsung heroes that work at the Brentwood kitchen, all the kitchen staff cares about the residents enjoying their food, my mother is no different. On a rare occassion when my mother does not feel like eating the daily menu, the kitchen staff will make her an alternative dinner, attention to detail is the Brentwood way. I work for a US based oil company based in Houston, I return to Danvers to visit my mother every 4 weeks. The Brentwood team know's my schedule. If I can assist a family member who is considering becoming a resident at Brentwood Danvers please inform the admissions director and we will decide a date that will work. In summary thank you Brentwood Team, from a grateful son !!!!
